Hi.. Just changed my wira to 16" rim - Tyre 205/50ZR16. Bought a second hand one But the problem is when i'm driving sometimes, the tyre will hit the fender.eg, on bumpy road or while taking a corner.is there anyway to overcome this? Or do i need to change it to 15" now im a bit Any advise? This post has been edited by blurry_mind82: Sep 17 2011, 07:25 PM

QUOTE(GKWong @ Sep 17 2011, 08:15 PM) not so sure about the price now. But i guess for normal tyre shud be below 300, for those like michelin or yokohama might be near 300 or above. So, after changing the tyre, it should be okay ? But i think i have to use it for another 2-3 months until have enough money to change the tyre. Thanks a lot.. U just make me felt a bit relief.. QUOTE(GKWong @ Sep 17 2011, 09:24 PM) ya.. becoz with R16 u will need a lower profile tyres to compensate back the larger rim diameter so the total wheel diameter will not differ too much from the original size. Thanks a lot for the info QUOTE(xxboxx @ Sep 17 2011, 09:26 PM) +1 true. also to add, if the total wheel diameter changed, will also affect the actual speed vs speedo meter speed. sorry..got questions...If the speedo meter show my speed as 100km/h, does it mean my actual speed is actually below 100km/h or more 100km/h?

Is there any impact if we change from 13" to 16"? As i can see in other forum, it said that if we change to a different size, its for sure will effect others part of the car. Currently im using 16" rim with 205/50ZR16 tyre. Hope to get some advise here. Just starting mod my car slowly....start with my rim. QUOTE(Lineage @ Sep 19 2011, 09:20 AM) Heard my friend said..he kena before this..but he use hammer hit the fender to close it..so it wont hit tyre..you can try it if you can understand what i'm trying to say..its hard to describe..look at your fender there then you will know already Yup..i think i got you..but "sayang" la want to "ketuk" my car... QUOTE(nicks @ Sep 19 2011, 10:19 AM) guys guys, im using 205/16/55 for my car. i can assure u, it didnt hit the fender but slightly if u hit bump with speed >60kmph. how u need to do is try to get "absorber booster". it is a rubber fitted to your spring. to make more sporty, put 2" rubber (its called mounting rubber) at the rear absorber. Credits : http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...bsorber+boostersound good...but will its make the car "terangkat" a bit at the rear? like the rally car?.
