Four escape with RM70,000 in daring daylight robbery
KUALA LUMPUR: Two men lost RM70,000 to machete-wielding robbers following an 11km high-speed car chase from Sri Petaling to Jalan Loke Yew here.
In the incident at noon yesterday, the two victims noticed several suspicious men in a car trailing them shortly after they withdrew RM70,000 from a bank in Sri Petaling.
The two men, in their 20s, tried to lose the car by speeding through traffic.
Violent contact: The victim’s car which was rammed from behind in Jalan Loke Yew yesterday.
Their getaway was, however, halted when they were caught in a traffic jam in Jalan Loke Yew.
The victim’s car was rammed from behind by the four robbers who slashed one of the victims in the back before snatching the bag containing the cash.
The crash also involved three other cars and caused further traffic congestion in the area.
City deputy CID chief Asst Comm Khairy Ahrasa confirmed the incident.
He added that the slashed victim was in stable condition.

Infact he was so near to IPK he could just drop in for coffee
