Pentium 3 as the most 'cikai' processor to run vista? blink.gif

well vista is using a lot of graphic power and speed..

if it depends on FSB, logically acceptable coz a lot of Pentium's processor with 800 MHz or 1066 MHz FSB is a powerful processor, its minimum to EM64T already at Pentium 4 3.73 GHz..or mayb AMD Athlon 64/FX/Opteron with 2000 MHz FSB.. unsure.gif

M$ always quotes a very very minimum requirement every time if you haven't noticed by now which usually is decent enough just for the OS to run, but not with everything else added in. So technically they are correct, since it is indeed the minimum system requirement for the OS to run without anything else.

The most basic form of Vista would probably not have the more graphics intensive fancy eye candy enabled but would just have the standard Windows classic look which explains the lower requirements in term of graphics.

AFAIK, system requirements are stated in processor speed as fariz has said and not FSB.

aisyeh~.... just when i want to try it out and this sort of thing happen. is the cd key unique or can use existing cd keys from others???...

If product keys weren't unique, I don't think there would be a need for Microsoft to specifically release product keys for it..

Longhorn is the codename for next version of Windows Server.

Longhorn is the codename for Windows Vista, not specifically only for the server edition.

I didn't manage to download the vista preview? Can anyone help me in getting one? Anyone can send me one? A dvd maybe?
*
Read the first post. M$ has stopped releasing CD keys and has also ceased providing downloads of it. Any distribution of it by other means would be illegal.

You can either wait for RC1 which should be released fairly soon, or you can search for the image elsewhere.
