kinda agree the min 2gb to bring out the performance of vista.
nothing lesser than the min.. QUOTE(seaotter @ Mar 11 2007, 06:29 AM) hey vista users. have a question here. i'm planning to install a dual-booting vista+xp. the question(s) that i have: 1. Which one will be considered as the main OS? 2. Can i just run the programs that i have ALREADY installed in the XP partition in Vista? ( eg. games, image processing etc etc) 3. If i can, how? 4. Does vista has any performance caveats? Lag, memory hog etc etc. Going to hoard the drivers before attempting to install Vista. Also gonna wait the V-Sifu ( lol?) in LY.net to answer my questions first too. thx |

Try Right Click your drive @ My Computer, Properties, General Tab, Disk Cleanup, Files rom all users on this computer, More Option Tab, & Cleanup System Restore and Shadow Copies.
You should get a few gigs out of the cleanup. Cheers and please update once it is done ya. QUOTE(asellus @ Mar 25 2007, 12:27 AM) Is this just me but deleting files in Vista does not free up space in the hard disk? I have a 40GB hard disk with 1GB space left. I burned a folder of 4GB worth of data into DVD, and deleted the folder. The UAC appears, I put the password and Explorer went on to delete the folder. But the HD space is still 1GB. |
