can i ask one silly question? Forgive me for not really every post in this thread yea.. .can i have my windows xp and windows vista together but using different partition? Means i have 2 windows in my pc? Coz i heard my fren said only can use 1 windows? I have windows vista setup disk with me but i'm afraid to install it becoz of the above reason

i wanna know.. how many of u guys are actually using 64bit windows vista? Coz i plan to use it but dunno whether my computer specs can support it or not

oh yeah... can i know where to get the free license key already ar? I'm still wondering shud i use 32bit or 64bit... can i know where are the difference between these 2 different bits?

Ok.. i have some confusions and questions need to be answered before i proceed to install windows vista..
lets say i still want to maintain my xp and want to install vista on my another partition.. so i will have 2 windows... what about the software compatibility? If i have bitdefender in xp... and in vista is totally different right? I mean all those software in xp wont affect vista?? I'm worried abt this.. i'm afraid of software conflicts.. lol

Ah, i have some problems here. Just now i was trying to install vista into my pc. I didnt burn into dvd but just mounted it with daemon tools coz I just wanna install another windows, not replacing my xp. Everything went fine until the last section where it says, completing the installation.. before that it needs to be restarted, then it says error coz some dll file cannot be found. And then I cant do anything but just do the rollback changes.
BTW, I have installed it on my another sata drive. I think that shouldnt be a problem right? It doesnt have to be C drive right? AND, izzit compulsory to burn into a dvd only can install??

Err, i have some confusions here. Should I just burn the dvd as ISO file or burn the files that I mounted with daemon tools?
EDIT : I wanna ask if i'm only installing vista x86 and not x64 altho my system can support but worried the lagginess x64 will cause. My mobo driver like audio driver all these, can use back the original one from xp? from the cd? Coz its still a 32 bits driver. If not my pc dont have sound edi!

Anybody using Linksys Wireless Adapter? It's WUSB54G v4. Have u guys successfully installed the driver into vista x64 yet? I couldnt find the driver!!

sighz...i have one wasted dvd-r here... i just burn the dvd.ISO file using nero burner but my pc wont want to boot it.... i cant install vista  |

ok, so finally i bought the DVD for this in lowyat plaza and guess what, this pc gives me the same problem. Installation went well until the complete the process stage where my pc needs to restart... then it says, windows vista failed to startup. Dunno what winlogon.exe failed to start. what's happening ar?
EDIT : Oh, i forgot to tell that, i'm just installing another windows vista, not replacing my wins xp here.. so i installed my vista into another partition but its not a primary but its a logical partition. Is that causing a problem to it?

Ok, this is picture of the error i got... I installed the 4th time liao either using my whole burned dvd or direct install from the download ones..(means I extract using daemon tools) and also now I bought the dvd liao.. all also same error... Help~~ Attached thumbnail(s)

Nope, Xp and Vista totally different drive.. My Xp is on my WD sata hdd and my vista is on my maxtor sata hdd... my Xp partition size is 30GB hehe..
Oh yeah, i tried goggling the problem.. so many results came out but i still dont understand how to fix it...
