I would like to ask some questions
1. Does Vista Ultimate 32bit/64bit come with Different DVDs? or I just buy one DVD can choose the version I want to install?
2. Is it good to run Vista Ultimate in a Pentium D machine with only 512MB RAM? (The usage here is only listening MP3, Bittorent, Watching Anime, Word processing, Surf Internet.) Is it gonna be slow?

QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Feb 23 2007, 08:46 PM) 1. No, the 64-bit version comes in a bigger capacity DVD than the 32-bit 2. can, but no Aero interface as it needs 1GB of ram So in short means is either you buy 64bit or you buy 32bit?

QUOTE(asmly14 @ Mar 4 2007, 08:12 PM) No. Will automatically disabled by windows itself. Why bother to upgrade to vista if your system barely supports it? XP runs much smoother and less resource hogging. It is because the RAM itself is the only thing that doesnt pass Vista Aero requirement. and I have a unused thumbdrive sitting on my desk

QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Mar 5 2007, 05:11 PM) add another RAM? And I have a feeling that your thumbdrive might not pass the ReadyBoost qualification Let me put it in this way. If I add another 512MB, my PC can run aero, but I do not wish to spend money to add RAM. I wonder it is possible to use USB drive make my PC qualify to run aero.

Is it ok to run Vista with just 512MB RAM only using surf net(firefox+IE), run online java (JVM) application(launch from browser), MSword, utorrent, 1 antivirus+ zonealarm, listen song & watch movie all together?
