anyone try ReadyBoost?
I am trying with my 4Gb CF card on an apacer card reader (which is the bottleneck), it does speed up a lot of things. My Vista Index is 3.2. thanks to old school barton 2500+. A 1G of ram would be enouf for general usage in vista, but would recommend a multi core CPU. as in my case, photos browsing/editing, surfing, MCE to xbox. my CPU is barely taking up the processes. Ram wise is OK, averagely i have around 100-200Mb free. with 4Gb ReadyBoost, most of the things are chached inside the card |
