hi bro hv any idea to backup the csl startup animation im will go to 2.2 soon so i need to backup it b4 flash tq

i screwed mine last time, the backup was in my sd, suddenly my phone prompted me to format my sd. then all back up gone lor. sad

Ah.. found it. I found another thing, SUT. What is that har? Haha..

Eh.. still, what to do with the z4root.1.3.0.apk?

SUT u install in your computer. that software used to flash your phone with ROM with .nb0 extension.

1. install SUT to ur pc, (now SUT cant detect your phone yet)
2. turn off your phone, press red button + volume up + power button so that your phone go to the download mode (i think) (it will shows somekind of command prompt-like text)
3. browse which .nb0 file u want and at the bottom select clear user data
4. plug in your phone in that download mode.
5. now SUT can detect your phone (click next until it finishes). and your phone will re-boot, 1st reboot will takes sometime so be patient

after backup what file it would be?

nb0?
or just a folder with name give by user ( usually date of backup)

and how to restore it?

just go rom manager and restore ? for my case it restart to restore mode then i dont know wad to choose after that.

I don't see any instructions about Z4root in Post 1, it only says download it wor.

install z4 root, open application, click on "root" phone restart .

u successfully root when u see superuser application installed on ur application dock

i think i havent do this ( refer picture below) can i do this after i flashed to phantom king ?but i done the backup while i was in stock rom? i think do to i hvt do this my phone gone to recovery mode without actually do anything, please sifus i need your help

It is better to install rom manager before you flash any new rom. With rom manager you installed you can than backup your rom first. Your rom will be saved in the sd card under clockworkmod/backup folder. If you view the file contents, you will see several img files and a md5 file

You can still install rom manager after you have flash Phantom KIng rom
