Added on March 22, 2011, 9:19 am QUOTE(GreenJellyBean @ Mar 22 2011, 09:15 AM) ok, good news is I successfully backup my Android Boot screen, there are 2 part, first part is an animated CSL logo and second part is a static CSL screen. Now i need to figure out how to restore them. good to hear the good news from u soon dude, good jobIf I can ADB into my MI-300 then I can put the files where I wanted but somehow my Android SDK can't find my MI300 as a device because I do not have the necessary USB driver. Added on March 22, 2011, 8:37 am lance888, when you use ROM manager you are backup the ROM, you do not back up the Boot animation.. The Boot animation is the moving colourful CSL word when you power up your phone. The boot animation will be change to something else when you flash custom ROM, I am working on a solution to restore the boot animation, I already manage to get all the animation files out, now to try putting it back in. QUOTE(GreenJellyBean @ Mar 22 2011, 03:41 PM) ok, i just successfully changed the bootanimation. cannot wor, i rename the originamal bootanimation.zip to bootaninamtion1.zip, den paste the bootanimation as what u provided, after reboot, still the 1st screen is not csl one, but still phantom skyfish, yyyy? den i saw a white color android robot in the middleFYI, I am still using stock 2.1 and I manage to change the bootanimation to something else and change back to CSL stock animation with the steps below. 1. Find a boot animation, in my example I am going to use one I dload off the net (see attachment below bootanimation.zip). 2. You phone must be rooted and has Super Manager (any Root Explorer will do). 3. Connect your phone to usb, mount the card and copy the bootanimation.zip to the root of the card. 4. Unplug USB, start Root Explorer and cut the bootanimation.zip (you will need to paste it into another folder later). 5. Browse to "/hidden/data/Power-on Animation" folder, you must have root access granted to root Super Manager to see this folder, it is hidden by default). 6. There is a existing bootanimation.zip there, rename it to existing bootanimation-csl.zip to backup 7. Paste the bootanimation.zip you copied in step 4. 8. Shutdown your phone. 9. Turn it back on and voila, new bootanimation. p/s: fyi there is a shell script in "/hidden/data/Power-on Animation" that automatically copies the bootanimation.zip to /local/data. Earlier I was trying to paste into /local/data and it kept getting replaced. hope this will help you all claim warranty |

QUOTE(GreenJellyBean @ Mar 22 2011, 06:44 PM) the steps you take were meant to replace the second animated boot screen, and you successfully replace it with a white android. noned lar, noned to revert, i dun like the honeycomb animation btw, To revert you can just delete the bootanimation.zip and rename bootanimation1.zip to bootanimation.zip to get back your original animated boot screen. I was not aware that there is a first bootscreen and second boot screen. Let me try to figure it out. now figuring the 1st boot screen huh kept up the good work |

QUOTE(GreenJellyBean @ Mar 24 2011, 12:50 AM) so far i know we can only update the first static boot screen through a nb0 flash, not a normal zip update because the nb0 contains partition information and the first static csl boot screen is located in a partition which I have yet to determine. actually just learn to unpack the stock rom to nbo file will do, we just dun have the capability to do so, haizneed to learn how to pack unpack a nb0 file and open the phantom king nbo to see where he put this first static screen, we then just need to replace the bmp/png file to flash it backinto our phone how bout we ask phantom or other rom maker how to create nbo? since they have been done so many impressive nbo files |
