Theres stable build, released on 11/4 if not mistaken..cm 7.0

Anyway,i went ahead and tried the cm 7, suprisingly i domt have issues playing mp4 videos unlike other rom like phantom room where got green bar whn plying...

that's hard to say, still evaluating now

Added on April 24, 2011, 4:05 pmAlso for those who have GPS issues, try this method

- First, download FasterFix and set it to ASIA.
- Then use GPS Fix to "lock" the satellites so next time you use any gps based app, it will get locked faster, like g maps, papago, etc

on CM7,
after 2-3 hours, my battery drops to 68%, probably due to intensive use of gps, wifi and frequent reboot

so far video playing smooth, doesn't have green bar, distorted color issues, other functions as well, and it's quite smooth and rarely any app FC and I noticed phantom seems "took" some of the features in CM and applied in PK roms

Going to test others like gaming as well

For DiGi, it should be automatically available there...for my case it is, tho. whether I insert new simcard or flashed to a new rom, DiGi APN automatically set already

so far (except the battery part, I haven't really evaluated since i use gps a lot)..on cm 7..so far my impression on CM 7 (build 54), it's a nightly build, tho..but I think for those who wanted to use CM 7, should get the stable version..

the good
- it's fast, boot up and other things
- application runs smooth, rarely any FC so far
- it has FLASH, too ( i mean flashlight)
- video plays flawlessly, doesn't have mp4 playback issues which I experienced in phantom rom, for those who on phantom, just rename the mp4 to wmv, it fixed the problem..weird, but it works
- wifi so far doesn't have any issues,
- 3D (except those gameloft hd) is fine, like I loaded 3D pool faster than on rev3c
- ram idle stays on 28-48MB


the bad
- doesn't have link2sd, unable to mount it even already have link2sd installed.
- doesn't have ability to use swap(unlike phantom allows you tap and set), unless you manually run certain scripts , tried to run "free" in terminal and it shows 0
- battery probably issue in CM 7, will try it on normal usage...unless my battery spoil already
- obviously doesn't have goodie apps like phantom rev, but you know where you can get those apps anyway
- gps lock is slow, unless you changed the ntp using Faster Fix and GPS fix which will helps you locks instantly.

That's it for today so far I'm using CM7 b54.. will try other stuff on it and see how it goes, I see some of the functions here are similar as in phantom rom rev3c

Added on April 25, 2011, 9:24 amBattery drain indeed is an issue for this rom, on rom cm 7 b54, from 11pm->8am battery rate from 70% drops to 48%...way drain too fast without any activities.

Going to try on certain optimization tips from the forum and let's see if anything changes..

yeah, rev3c have problems in mp4 videos and certain stuff

battery drain slightly reduced than yesterday after disabled JIT compiler, and certain tweak

that reminds me about gun bros ..forgot to test it on cm7 tho ..tonight will try it.

you can use Rom Manager from Market to do that for you.

once you partition, you'll lost everything in your sd card..mostly I'd partition 256MB for app2sd/link2sd use and 64MB for swap, but that's up to you.
root explorer can explore everything in the system, but it's not free (ahem version )

normally I'd use link2sd to check whether the app already in sd (froyo way), or in internal storage

lol the "free apps" app from boston mania is.. , never even bother to use it.

also for those who use cm7, might want try this battery fix kernel, tho..

after changed the kernel on CM 7 the battery drain is quite "acceptable", with 3hours + just -7% on normal usage, like calling, play games a while

currently still on CM 54, but kernel now patched with SuperAosp kernel, for battery drain issue.

will try on gameloft games later
