anyway, from what i have read, even when the the car has been turned off, we can still get the readings. this means that ELM Bluetooth is always ON. is there a way to make it work only then the engine is ON or when the key is in ON position?

just worried it might drain my car battery.

They mean that the car engine is off, while the ignition is on. Not both engine and ignition is off.
