Anyone knows how to reset the phone to factory default or make it launch the welcome wizard again? I skipped through all those at the center because just wanted to test the phone there and then...
Thanks. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Apr 2 2011, 10:09 PM) Try install the HTC sync which is on the given SD card Thanks Benny for the factory reset.OR you can install android sdk - download it and run sdk manager Added on April 2, 2011, 10:13 pm Press MENU from the home screen, then tap Settings > SD & phone storage > Factory data reset > Reset phone. You can also perform a factory reset by using the buttons on the phone. 1. With the phone turned off, long press the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button. 2. Wait for the screen with the 3 Android images to appear, and then release the VOLUME DOWN button. 3. Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press POWER. 4. When asked to confirm, press VOLUME UP. Added on April 2, 2011, 10:16 pm Why don't you post some pics taken on the IS and on another to justify your statement esp on the word " horrible" HTC is never well known for its camera - if this is important to you, than you just make a wrong choice. Get the Xperia Arc which will offer better camera features. I am a camera noob - so far I find all camera pictures taken on my Androids looks OK ; I am not that detailed guy on camera quality I have 1 more question hope U can help me with...Do I still need app2sd on the IS? I was under the impression that on Froyo onwards we have the choice to select where to install the app? Sorry for such noobish question, I am coming from a 5-year old Symbian phone... Anyone knows if the IS screen is scratch resistant like gorilla glass? I'm hesitant to start using it yet as I can't find a screen protector as well as a case for IS...

This was what happened for Penang.
Total units - 25 units RM599 - 15 units RM1199 with RM20 rebate * 24 months - 10 units That's only for launch day and those are the only stocks they have in hand. Not sure when new ones will be coming in. BTW, anyone knows if the camera glass is also gorilla glass? No point the front is gorilla glass but end up the camera glass scratched easily... |

No reboot issues for me so far. All is good. The battery life is acceptable if U don't play with it.

QUOTE(xDjWanNabex @ Apr 10 2011, 02:17 PM) More roads available on premium navigation compared to papago..couldn't fond 3 to 4 roads in pj area on papago but could on the premium navi. Another good one I tried is aura...managed to find all roads that don't show on papago So how much does the premium navi cost for lifetime license? I don't want to start my 30 day trial just to find out. Also anyone knows how to change the notification alert for the mail client (not GMail, I know that one can be changed). I set the notification alert to my custom ringtone already but when mails arrive it uses the Alpha tone (which I think was the default before I configured it to something else). Thanks again... |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Apr 11 2011, 05:49 PM) I am assuming you are using default mail app Benny do U have any idea how to set the notification tone for new emails? I understand that it uses the general notification tone in settings, which I have changed to a custom ringtone but when my emails arrive it uses the Alpha tone. Launch mail app . At Settings/Send & Recieve : Download option - you can set no of day. Example if you set 2 days, after 2 days, all the downloaded mails before that will be deleted Further down : Sync deleted items from server - if this is selected , all downloaded mail ill be deleted irrespective when you download it Further down : Delete mail on server - ON of off. If this is selected yes, when you download mail all your earlier mail will be delted If you also download mails to your computer - by default the mails will be deleted from server. So if you need to download to your phone - select do not delete from server - check your mail settings on PC or Mac for this. As once mails deleted from server when you use phone to sync all the mails will be deleted from phone . So you have to control it yourself by going to set it on the phone as listed above Thanks. |

I guess we will get some but not all of Sense 3.0 features...this was posted in HTC facebook page...
HTC Clarification: There are aspects of the latest HTC Sense that won’t work on some of our previous devices. We are working to incorporate other aspects that will. Stay tuned. |
