QUOTE(krk24 @ Apr 16 2011, 02:18 AM) bro...its not a defect...that how its been manufactured!....otherwise the function of the 4 keys at the bottom (home, info, arrow(back) & magnifying glass) wont change when we view from vertical to horizontal...at dark areas u cant see much the behind layer..but at under brighter conditions u are able to see the layer beneath...so its not defect! I did say it was a "defect" right? Note the double apostrophe. When I got the phone I noticed this but didnt think it was a real defect since it was mentioned in some review I read. Then a forumer said that SiS gave a replacement, which got me to say that this was not a manufacturing flaw but instead an isolated problem. For my case, I can still see it in dark conditions. |

QUOTE(ckming21 @ Apr 16 2011, 03:48 PM) bro at last I found that it is not a defect but design. Here is the youtube video which explain about the Hardware of incredible S. The button issue found at 2.31. I dun understand why would there be such a design. If there is, the situation should be the same when viewed in landscape mode. It show that the light which behind the search icon. Here the Youtube video : http://androidforums.com/htc-incredible-s/...me-problem.html |

Yah, exactly, in portrait mode, I can see the landscape's button appearing too. When I put the phone (portrait) straight to my face, I can see the landscape's Search and Back buttons.
So the third IS that you got is free of this double icon issue? This post has been edited by Holyboy27: Apr 16 2011, 08:30 PM |

I emailed htccare@sisdistribution.com.my regarding this issue after calling SiS this afternoon.I can confirm with you on that. QUOTE(Lennox @ Apr 16 2011, 08:34 PM) Yo! Congratz! QUOTE(ilovestitch @ Apr 18 2011, 11:16 AM) just sent my phone for 1 to 1 exchange and the technician told me the light leakage is the problem, so for those who have this problem then better change it as soon as possible. After sending a few emails and a few calls to SiS they finally said that I am getting a replacement unit as soon as stock is available. Customer service QUOTE(corad @ Apr 18 2011, 11:30 AM) Android market - through the Market app on your phone.Appbrain - google this if you need suggestions on apps here --->http://www.electricpig.co.uk/2011/02/02/be...ndroid-top-100/ QUOTE(shgx700 @ Apr 18 2011, 03:29 PM) hei guys.. planning to get this phone.. any known issues with this device?? light leakage? pls advice Light leakage on the Back and Search button. If you're buying, check the phone in the shop as soon as you buy it. If there is leakage, you will see dimly lit underlying arrows for the Landscape mode and a halo around the arrows. It warrants a replacement or at least a repair. Other issues AFAIK, are random reboots. Should all be software issues. |

Did u all have the problem of light leakage as i highlighted in the picture below. Please give some feedback . Thank everyone For my phone, just look at it straight in front of your face. If you see other things behind the Search and Back button, it is most likely an issue. |

QUOTE(tanaumaga @ Apr 18 2011, 10:01 PM) Yup. I asked them why they dowan to just repair instead of replace (I developed a kam cheng for this particular unit), he said to repair, the LCD no stock. So just wait for new stock to arrive then do 1 on 1 replacement. |
