I need recommendation.

1. Brand: any brand
2. Budget: RM5000
3. Specs: i7 and preferably with 256GB SSD
4. Size: 13"

i7 740QM is better than i7-2620M? I was thinking of getting 13" macbook pro with 256gb ssd (cost around 5.4k iinm).. but i will be using windows mainly.. is it a good choice?

is there any other choice than HP DV3?

Its RM5948 if educational price..

My main purpose is for MATLAB for video processing. I prefer bringing laptop to anywhere so i thought 13" is the most suitable size for me. Battery also is the main factor. So, which one do you suggest? is it 740QM or 2620M? Or is there any other alternative?

if MBP bootcamp with win xp/win7? battery consume more? it will be on par with other brand laptop?

Toshiba R700/R830 with i7 available in Malaysia market? how much? I can only find the i5 version..

for gaming, of course gt520.. hd3000 is built-in graphic.. suitable for doing work to save battery life..

I'm not sure on this one. If i'm not mistaken if your designing works related with rendering in 3D, then graphic card is important. else, designing in PS does not need discrete graphic..

oh really? yeah, bd-rom is not practical for laptop coz can watch bd on ps3.. ok, removing bd-rom from the spec..

what other model similar with A43SV but with optimus? and thin look also a bonus.. max 4k.. another 1k for ssd haha..

V470 seems nice, but no discrete gpu..

Right now I'm eyeing on HP DV6 and Asus N54SN (but N54SN already phased out), so I would like to check if i mis-look other model that is in my spec and price range..
