I am looking for a notebook for some internet browsing, amateur photo-editing, watching movies and playing football manager

1. Brand: Toshiba, Fujitsu, Acer, Dell.... is Lenovo or Asus reliable?
2. Budget: <RM2.6k
3. Specs: at least i3 and able to do the tasks mentioned above, preferably weight<2.2kg with good looks:-)
4. Size: 14"

saw a lot of interest here in TimelineX 4830TG, i5-2410M + GT540M@RM2499.. want to ask if Acer's quality has improved? my last Acer notebook 4yrs ago had problem with its screen after a few months of use (despite after service)
