in dilemma lerr.

choosing a i5 MacBook or a i7 Dell XPS / Asus N52sv lerr.

Price are about the same, right? Around rm3.5-4k. ><''

I see lots professional photographers using Macbook. Knew Macbook having better functions, performance and screen.

Felt like buying Mac also. But scared to venture to it, cause i got no knowledge bout Mac at all. and im not quite sure about h*cked / P*rated softwares availability or not ler.

Any advice?

Afaik, Macs offers some of the best PCs for designing  nod.gif
I guess it all boils down to whether you want to game or not? If not then just go for the Mac?  laugh.gif
You'll never know until you try~
No comments on pirated software though, its a taboo here  laugh.gif

The new MacBook Pro 13 comes with Intel HD 3000 which is more or less on par with that of ATI5470  nod.gif
Do you really need a powerful GPU for your work?  hmm.gif
Iinm editing depends more on processing power? Unless its 3D stuffs you're working on
I thought i would wanna play games like CODMW2 when i get my new lappie. sweat.gif

Talking bout multimedia editting, my usage is process photo, photoshop. and may be full hd movie editting in the future? icon_question.gif

Then perhaps it would be better to get something more powerful?
Dell XPS 15, Dell Studio XPS 16 are worth looking into... or perhaps Vaios?

I don't think the MacBook Pro 13 inch could handle with new Intel HD 3000 sweat.gif
I would suggest to take the 15 inch though, it's all powerful and the price is powerful too.
ASUS or Dell thumbup.gif
And there is hackintosh (if you would want to venture into it)
For the price of Macs, you're paying for the brand, the quality and the OS in a very expensive way  sweat.gif

Oh, and there's bootcamp if you want to use Windows on a Mac to play games.
Recently removed support for Vista, only 7 for now

I did look at the New XPS 15 also.

I customize to:
new i7 SB
8Gb Ram
Full HD 1980x1280 resolution
Backlit keyboard
9 cell batt.

then ended up around rm4.5k already. blink.gif

btw, just wanna check, if my lappie got Full HD display, means it shouldnt lag when i play 1080 recorded video right? Or the normal HD ones also can smoothly?

Definitely won't lag  laugh.gif
Its a powerful lappy o... Even way cheaper models can handle the load...
Personally I think you should decrease the specs and spend some money on the warranty...
