thanks for the reply! i dont like the blue colour scheme of the 4830TG but i'm still leaning towards it. prefer the dark grey colour of the 4750G...whats the build quality like? need it to last me at least 2 years.... the irreplaceable battery might be a problem too ):

Btw, what are the recommended Asus laptops for my case? I never really liked Asus, only recently open to the idea of owning an Asus laptop...

I'm leaning towards the timelineX already, but still keen on exploring Asus. Also thinking of an i3 with 6-8gb setup. how laaaa T.T

hi all, it's me again. looks like my budget has increased from 2.5max to 2.8k-3k max. so.....

1. Brand - Acer, lenovo, asus
2. Budget - 2.8k-3k
3. Specs - i5 SB at least, 1gb discrete graphics, 4gb ram at least, 500 gb hdd at least, usb3.0, good battery life.
4. Size - 14 inch.

my usage will be mainly for work, surfing, watching movies, multitasking. I spend a fair amount of time on Photoshop, indesign and illustrator, and of course a little bit of gaming. i'm quite an audiophile so good audio is a plus. must have chiclet keyboard.

was seriously considering the acer aspire 4830tg. but since budget increase, what models would you guys recommend?

or should i spend my extra dough on a ram+warranty upgrade for the 4830tg? quite in love with that model actually.... halp!
