hi there. can you all recommend for me any asus laptop which have the following characteristics:-

1. price range below rm 3000
2. just for some storage, music and movie downloading, work, not much a gaming person, web browsing, prefer with high processor and good multi-tasking performance, good sound for the speaker, etc
3. brand new

hope you can give me some informational feedback. thanks... smile.gif

based on your requirement, it almost seems like you've already picked N53SV haha...its i5 in malaysia though...if u can get the one with i7 it'll suit your needs most, but not sure if it'll still remain below 3k

awww...no FHD and blu -ray???
so the extra from this lappy is sleek and better speaker mehh???
i'm considering get n53sv over a53sv if the lappy is equiped with BR and FHD..since it only need to add rm200..
but now, i probably wait for a53sv...
*
If additional 200 can get blu-ray and FHD, surely out of stock before u see it on shelves biggrin.gif

Acer vs Asus.

What are the pros and cons between them, generally?
*
personally i think acer has better price to performance, meaning higher specs for cheaper price. Whereas asus has default longer warranty and better build quality. But really, its not the brand that matters much.

hi..
what the performance differences between n53sn and n43sn?
*
pretty much the same thing...probably n43sn has better battery life and almost non-existent flex since it's smaller.

What games do you play?

It's enough to handle casual games like FIFA and stuffs..

Haven't heard much ppl getting this laptop but it's a business line, so build quality should be good..
*
it would be perfect if it came with 540m or higher. I mean, why is there no i7 sb for 14" till now?

lenovo idea pad y560p and asus n53sn, which is better? (gaming and multimedia wise....) the only difference is the graphic card, so which is better?
*
graphic card is more or less the same, but keep in mind that y560p has no switchable graphics option, meaning u'll always be using the discrete grapic card, thus draining battery life...

hmm apart from that, which model is more "reliable" in terms of performance, and build quality?
*
for me, its N53SN biggrin.gif its aluminium casing is pretty sturdy. The palm rest might feel hotter, but the insides should be cooler. Oh yea btw i forgot N53SN's graphic card is 550m, should be slightly better too. Not significant though.

haha, burning recovery disc now..everything good, except 2 things at the moment...hugeass adapter which i thought were only on sagers and alienwares...and speakers suck. Listening songs seems fine, but when i tried modern warfare 2, really soft even at max volume. doh.gif
