I just came back form PC Fair. There are several laptops that I interested in but couldn't choose one. Those laptops are:
1) ASUS A43SV - Intel Core i5-2410 - 14" screen - NVIDIA GeForce (1GB DDR3 VRAM graphics) - 4GB DDR3 RAM - 500GB HDD - RM 2499
2) HP PAVILION G4 - Intel Core i5-2410 - 14" screen - Radeon HD Graphics (1024MB DDR3) - 4GB DDR3 RAM - 640GB HDD - RM 2349
3) ACER ASPIRE TIMELINE 4830TG - Intel Core i5-2410 - 14" screen - NVIDIA GeForce (2GB DDR3 VRAM graphics) - 4GB DDR3 RAM - 640GB HDD - RM 2499
Opinion, anyone?

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Apr 15 2011, 06:36 PM) Your usage? HP G4 is the weakest among all 3 in terms of specs, but I think it has a promotional 3 years warranty My usage mainly for office work, internet browsing, watching movies and video editing. And yes, HP comes with 3 years warranty meanwhile Asus comes with 2 years warranty. For Acer, I am not sure.

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Apr 15 2011, 07:00 PM) If you're not into gaming, then either 3 will do, just pick the one you like most... Theoretically, HP will be the best option because of the 3 years warranty... Hmm... my real consideration is between Asus A43SV and Acer Aspire TimelineX. I own an Acer Travel Made which I purchased in 2004 and after 7 years, it's still working perfectly (just once changed its HDD and RAM). My experience with Acer has been good so far. Unfortunately for my sister and many friends who own Acer, they frequently having problems with their laptops. On the other hand, I rarely hear complaint about Asus.

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Apr 15 2011, 08:20 PM) TravelMates are business class laptops I think? Budget line laptops are most of the time more problematic than premium ones.. The TimelineX is considered premium compared to the budget-line A series... If we're only looking at specs and features, Asus A43Sv would be the better choice due to the non-built-in battery and also the 2 years international warranty.... But things ain't that simple in real life... the looks of the 4830Tg alone would be enough to poison a buyer Yup, the TravelMate that I own is a business class laptop. Really tough one! Anyway, thanks so much for your opinion. Really appreciate it!
