lee_what sifu probably means that the GPU won't be powerful enough for you to play games in FullHD, lowering the resolution will do the job  nod.gif

For the DELL XPS 15 MLK:

So means if I am playing games, I should lower the resolution for smooth game play?

And with other multimedia stuff, it should not have any problem with the GPU?

Been observing Dell Latitude E6400/E6410 for quite some times, but I have doubts:
1. I used 2 Dell laptops before, including the 1 I'm using now, overheating problem is very serious in my opinion,
2. Where can I find those refurbished Dell?

Sorry but I forgot to mention on the earlier post:
6. I like to open a LOT of folders/applications at once, so is 4GB RAM enough?

cheerio~

Garage Sales?
Depends on how is a LOT ? 4GB is enough for most user...

or fine tweak ur game settings..
turn off motion blur and AA, shadows and water to medium, physics perhaps high, objects to medium, and the rest to ultra high.

shadows, water, and objects consumes the highest amount of processing power in a gpu if u dont know.

I have RM 6k budget and I'm thinking of buying a laptop for college.
Not heavily inclined into gaming, but I edge more on video editing and graphics.

Planning to get a MacbookPro 15" with i7 2.2 Ghz - RM 6199 (Student Price)

Any other laptops you can recommend?

I don't mean to troll, but really, if your going to spend that much money on a laptop your clearly only getting it for how it looks. In that case, no recommendation available, just go for whatever looks good to you.

So far there's not much options for fullHD 15 inchers with the new SB i7 & decent GPU apart from the Dell XPS15?
Others exceed your budget or are not available here, unfortunately hmm.gif

Try customizing the new Dell XPS 15 with FullHD and 9-cell battery nod.gif
With your budget you could even purchase the 3 years warranty.... with remaining money to get some good accessories for your new lappy thumbup.gif
