Go run HD on youtube, make sure it's changed to GT540M, and check 'dxdiag' again.

And HD Graphics IS Intel HD3000..
*
What mean ?? So basically it means i go to run a graphic intensive application and then type dxdiag again to see whehter the graphics card change ??

Because it's Intel HD by default... It would only switch to the GT540M when playing games or watching youtube...
*
Ok thx Sifu ^^ BTW, wat is the BEST price for Asus N53SV now ??

Guys, i narrowed down to 2 laptops only ..

Dell Inspiron 15R Core i7SB RM2999 with 3 years warranty 2 USB 3.0

or

Asus N53SV Core i5SB RM2799 with 2 years warranty No USB 3.0

Which is the best deal ?? Im not a very hardcore gamer ... May i know is the GT525M in Dell capable of running most recent games on medium setting ?

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Mar 23 2011, 07:00 PM)
If work is more important, Lenovo Z460 (powerful processor, ergonomic keyboard)
If gaming is more important, then Asus A42Jy  laugh.gif (Slightly better GPU, poor speakers)
But do take note that the A42Jy comes with FreeDOS (no Windows) even though it comes with 2 years free international warranty...

Perhaps you could go and check out both models before making the final decision? Its quite a hard pick  laugh.gif

LOL, I thought you've narrowed down to these 2 laptops along time ago?  laugh.gif
Yeap, the GT525 should be able to handle low-medium graphics, with some minor tweaks on the resolution, AA, graphic settings etc.
But as mentioned earlier, gaming depends on the GPU... and the gaming performance is not really affected by the processor no matter its an SB i3/i5 or i7

Added on March 23, 2011, 7:05 pm
Acer
TimelineX 3820TG, i3-380M + AMD HD6550[1.8kg]@RM2199
This should be the best (no SB though, not much SB options in the market atm for something <1.9kg within RM3k), extend the warranty to 3 years and you're good to go  laugh.gif
Do take note that it doesn't have an optical drive o... 2nd pick would be the more expensive Asus U36Jc
*
Haha .. Still thinking whether to Get Dell or Asus until i finally bought either 1 of them , i will stop asking tongue.gif

zzz now i'm undecisive between Dell Inspiron 15" annd N53SV... One got 2 3.0USB ports but weaker graphics..and the other has nice GPU but NO USB 3.0...
*
I had the same problems too !!! And Dell Inspiron 15R is Core i7 while Asus N53SV is just Core i5 shocking.gif

QUOTE(astria @ Mar 24 2011, 06:08 PM)
GPU for me...

u can always add a USB3.0 ExpressCard if u really need it in the future... but u can't change the GPU after u fork out ur money...
*
How sifu ?? There aint any express card slot in N53SV isnt it ?? rclxub.gif
