what the best lappy spec below 2.6k????

mainly use for net surf and watch video...and i do hope with good built in speaker
*
This should be the best for a 14 incher, but the speakers are just normal:
Acer
TimelineX 4830TG, i5-2410M + GT540M@RM2499

As for 15 incher, then these:
Asus (2 years free international warranty)
N53Sv, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M@RM2799 [Bang & Olufsen]

Should be able to get around RM2.6k for the N53Sv nod.gif

is this good laptop for gaming? since it have build in battery, my frenz say when playing game or on the laptop a lot of hour need to take off the battery and use charger only
*
Yeah, just like the M11x... sad.gif
Heat kills the battery... so its not good if we cannot take out the battery, especially during gaming

with the current cash rebate promo, i'd say it's a very very good deal, esp if u top up to get additional 2/3 years onsite warranty

only prob is there is no review yet on the battery life etc

performance shld be non-issue wit the sb proc, dedicated gc, 7200rpm hdd, usb n BT .30

now deciding between 13 or 14 inch  hmm.gif
*
Yeap, they're not ba, not to mention good looking as well laugh.gif
Do take note that, iirc, the 13 inch Vostro comes with a 4-cell battery only... and I'm not sure whether they're still built in or not sweat.gif

personally i think acer has better price to performance, meaning higher specs for cheaper price. Whereas asus has default longer warranty and better build quality. But really, its not the brand that matters much.

Read from the Dell XPS 14 & 15 thread here, seems like XPS15 still has a lot of problems... Asus is the answer I guess then. cheers.
*
Read Asus's thread, or Trance4eva's review on the N53SN, you'll find that there are problems as well... its virtually unavoidable haha laugh.gif

Just want to ask, Msia do sell Acer Aspire 4750G 2632G50Mn? If got, what the price?

Not aware of such model in Malaysia... usually different countries will have laptops with different specs nod.gif
If its really RM2250 with those specs, its a steal haha... but do take note that you may experience problems with claiming your warranty over here....
The 14 inchers (of Malaysia) which are the nearest in terms of performance would be the Acer TimelineX 4830Tg and Asus A43Sv, both with (i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M).

Its still the best performer for 11.6 inchers within a budget of RM2k nod.gif
Comes with 18 months warranty and spill resistant keyboard~

Then you should try Acer's TimelineX 4830TG or Asus A43Sv...
TimelineX and Ethos are Acer's premium lines thumbup.gif
Unless your work requires a lot of processing power, getting an i5-2410M won't affect gaming performance nod.gif

The CPU is more powerful than the E-350, but the GPU is weaker... so it depends on what you're using the netbook for? hmm.gif

Need some comments here about the new Dell Inspiron series.

The 15" and 17" has same price right? And I think 17" has only core i5.

Will there be any general differences between them? Like speeds, performance etc, since the screen is bigger.
*
I don't think we have 17" Inspirons? Or are you referring to Vostros? hmm.gif
Anyway, generally larger laptops with larger screen will have shorter battery life. But they tend to have better cooling because of the larger space for heat dissipation

oh sorry i meant Vostro tongue.gif

But say, if i dont bring my laptop ard much, i think the 17" is a good deal right? biggrin.gif
*
Just checked Dell Malaysia. Its seems the GPU used in the 15 inch Vostro 3550 (AMD HD6630) is different than that of the 17 inch Vostro 3750 (Nvidia GT525M)...
If you're not planning to bring it anywhere, battery life won't be that important anymore, so the 17 would be a better choice nod.gif
But its best that you check the laptop and see whether the screen wobbles or not, its very common in larger laptops, and its very annoying laugh.gif

But I'm wondering if the sound system is as good as the N53SV? Bang..something.

Bang & Olufsen~
Nope, usually standard speakers (especially those on budget/business series) can never rival the branded ones haha laugh.gif

If you're referring to the Acer 4830Tg, there's always the rival Asus A43Sv laugh.gif

Hi peeps,

Buying a new lappy, need recommendation for items below:

i7-2720QM or i7-2820QM ?

Which one is more best for price+performance?

Actually what is the difference for the 2 sandy beach processor above?
*
Its Sandy Bridge laugh.gif
i7-2820Qm has higher clocks
Performance difference for gaming won't be significant though hmm.gif
