suggest u uninstall IE8 first go to control panel ,-> uninstall program-> at the left side click "turn windows feature ON / OFF" uncheck IE8 and restart
I don't think that is necessary. I installed IE 9 on top of IE 8, without any problem. Yes, with IE 9 installed, IE 8 is automatically disabled. We all do not have to worry about IE 8 registry being corrupted. If there had been really a need to uninstall IE 8, Microsoft would have stated the need to uninstall inside the KB article for IE 9.
I think that the IE 9 installer made by Microsoft is quite good. If you want to revert back to IE 8, just uninstall IE 9 from "List of Installed Updates". With that, you should get IE 8 working back again.

by final means RTM?
im using 64bit OS, but which one should i download?
The architecture (32 bit or 64 bit) of IE that should be installed depends on the architecture of Windows. In short:im using 64bit OS, but which one should i download?
32 bit Windows - 32 bit IE 9
64 bit Windows - 64 bit IE 9
smallvill3, you just install 64 bit IE 9 in your 64 bit OS. Once it is installed, both 32 bit and 64 bit IE will respectively be upgraded to 32 bit and 64 bit IE 9.
