Mine is a opposite. I want to change my Visa to MC. I called them up yesteraday and the cust service say they can do it. However, I should not use the Visa at all. Lucky I did not use.

Hi Hidan,

Can you give me the name or contact of your CS? I called in and they demanded that I go to the branch to cancel my M2C Visa and to apply a new M2C Mastercard. At first they requested that I cancel the M2C Visa + M2C Amex and reapply a new M2C MC + M2CAmex doh.gif

Maybank CS giving different answers ... so typical of them. Anyway, have you ever used your MBB2 VISA ?
*
Nope. I already have a MBB Visa Platinum so don't have a need at all.

Was just at the branch. Latest update is we CANNOT convert from M2C Visa to M2C MC without cancelling the M2C Amex.

I called the customer service number behind the credit card.

All seem going fine now.

Maybe MYB should have created MYB3 cards instead of 2. tongue.gif
When my MC comes, I must tell MYB to cancel my Visa.
*
Let me know if you managed to cancel it, as currently according to the CS at the branch, the Amex is tied to the Visa and will get cancelled the moment the Visa is cancelled.

Me too, never use, Maybe wan do like u, get the mastercard but dun cancel the Visa.... like tat i got MBB amex + visa + master  rclxms.gif  tongue.gif
*
imo no real reason to unless you already have a MBB Visa like me. There is no difference between Visa and Master in terms of the benefits (unless you don't have a Mastercard at this time)

Had my 1st buy 1, free 1 drink from gardens starbucks. In addition got 20% discount for mph book purchases (except magazine). One negative experience though, amex was rejected in one of the petronas pump at brickfields. Im not quite sure why so end up using mastercard instead. Tonight i will try my amex at shell.
*
Amex is not accepted at ALL the Petronas pumps. Only some Petronas accepts Amex in store.

Play-Asia only charges your card when the item is shipped. usually appears in statement 2 days later.

I called in to waive the GST last week .but when I checked just now.. no record of my call mad.gif

Hope the GST waiver is credited in time before the statement due date.

With the GST charge in my MBB2 Visa, am currently thinking to change my existing Visa Plat to MC Plat (since I have so many roadblocks trying to change the MBB2 Visa to MBB2 MC).

Is there any way I can know my due date besides checking from M2U? Mine hasn't been updated yet. I'm a new user for Maybankard2GC.

Also, can I change the due date? smile.gif

As long as I pay before due date, I won't be charged with interest right? Not statement date right? As far as I know both carry different meaning?
*
due date is 20 days after statement date. Some banks you can request change of statement date. Maybank is one of them.

Due date and statement date will be printed on your statement every month.

Yes if you pay in full before due date you will not be charged interest.

Ok smile.gif

But at least my item is going to receive soon smile.gif Hopefully get it after my nightmare test this Friday T_T

Btw, i purchased it on Saturday but now only the transaction proceed, means I won't be entertained with the 5% cash rebate during weekend?

Added on May 3, 2011, 1:06 pmJust received a call from Amex, lol ...

Most online sites only charge the card when they ship, not when you order.

i have 2 set of Maybank2card. 1 set with Visa, and another with MC ; 2 piece of MBB2 Amex. Both sets are under my name.

May i know will i get 5% cash rebate and 5x TP on both MBB2 Amex cards? Or is it limited to Rm50 /mth only ?
*
isn't this a repeated question? And some one mentioned some posts back that MBB capped it at RM50 per customer and not RM50 per MBB2 pair as previously thought.. maybe that was you?

I did try to search whole thread but cannot find the answer..

Last payment amount: RM0.00
Last payment date: N/A
Minimum payment amount: RMxxxxx Pay Any Amount Now
Outstanding balance: RMxxxxx Pay Any Amount Now
Statement balance: RMxxxxx Pay Any Amount Now

Payment due date: 10 May 2011
Statement date: 03 May 2011
Current TreatsPoints: xxxx

My question is..all 3 has this "Pay Any Amount", which one should I click to pay?
2nd question, the AMEX and VISA account have to pay separately?

I'm soo nooooob  sweat.gif
*
Just pay the statement balance unless you have too much cash, then outstanding balance is fine as well. Avoid minimum payment amount.

weird thing happen this morning though
I try 2 times on my AMEX to buy games at steampowered.com but failed, then i use mastercard can.

* same acc info is entered, except the card number ofcourse

then later maybank call to verify payment, i ask him y my amex cant work, he said no prob ah, your amex work just now (but i get blocked transaction by steam said my card ada prob)

So i total blur now, do amex need online activation or something? someline like verivisa or master secure code?
*
never tried but did Steam ask for the Amex CID (CVV equivalent)? For Amex it is not the 3 numbers at the back but 4 numbers in the front.

I am using petronas card but plan to change to this cause it has better benefit than my current one. But does it gives 5x point for petronas or any petrol station as well? Anyone has experiences this?? Many thanks.
*
Any petrol station that accepts Amex will give you 5x points. However all Petronas do not accept Amex at the pump and only a few accept in store.

huh? meaning the Maybank AMEX is actually like normal visa with added benefit?  tongue.gif
anyone else tried at places that do not accept amex?  tongue.gif
*
It's the terminal.

So far I noticed Maybank, CIMB and Ambank terminals can accept AMEX.

Given ur guys a scenario based

If let say u at work in sg... will u continue use ur maybank amex during weekend... 5x TP and 5% rebate... which oversea transaction 0.5+2.5% by amex.

or

apply credit card there... which no need oversea transaction fees... cash rebate card offer around 0.5% rebate.
*
unless you are getting paid in RM, better to use a local card there so that your cost is fixed.
