why would you want a 40K limit??

You can always pre-pay the card. Its like putting money into debit card. it works by credit limit+pre pay amount.
Just go to atm machine with your atm card, select payment....bla bla bla....card number...ok
how come I never get 10k TP for GST. I was invited too. Now waiting for my platinum invitation.

Just to update, pre-payment or fund transfer into CC a/c for MBB does not work anymore. I recently tried from my m2u online a/c:
QUOTE
Unsuccessful. Account not authorised/Amount exceeded outstanding balance. Reject code: [0076]

The above means, you cannot pay higher than the posted outstanding transaction amount. I tried that, it doesn't work. But I can pay the exact amount outstanding though, i.e. I am authorised to pay, but not exceed the outstanding limit.

e.g credit limit = RM5000
outstanding = RM3000
I try pay RM4000 through m2u online (so that my CL limit increase to RM6000) => Unsuccessful
I pay RM3000 or less => Successful

I did not try bank in cash using Cash Deposit Machine though.

TS may want to put as notification in first page for MBB CC.

One question.

I am trying to pay my bills (maxis, astro, p1, tnb, etc) via maybank2u. But, i can only choose my savings account and not the maybank2 cc when i click on the select account. Do i need to do something to enable cc bill payment?  Thanks.

Manual payment does not accept CC (generally). Only some are available, such as Digi (Visa/Master only, no Amex).

The way is to subscribe to auto-pay, or goto counter (also only some of them accept CC)

Ok, latest update in my a/c:

For 20k TP deducted, MBB reversed 2x RM50 GST = RM100 to me.

Is it more worth it than getting Jusco voucher RM100 = 20k TP ? hmm.gif

1. can we use amex to buy flight ticket?
*
Yes, you can. If I remember correctly, AirAsia can. Last time I buy through travel agent all also can. e.g. MAS, Cathay, SIA, etc.

Such a hassle to apply. They requested salary slips, which I gave. Now after few days of application, I called in and now they say they need 3 month bank statement. Anyone encounter this for new card application?
*
Yes, during initial time when don't have any CC reference. Now, just throw any existing gold/plat card can get approval. That is why it is important to build up your credit background and reference (credit card, house loans, car loans, personal loans, etc.), which will be in BNM CCRIS also. Make sure pay on time, no late payment.

Mobil is too far from my house area. Maybe need to convert to shell after this. My bonuslink didn't active for quite some time.. doh.gif

Mobil = RM1 = 1 Smiles point

Shell = 1 Litre = 1 Bonuslink point shakehead.gif

If I'm not mistaken, the above is still correct.

or just wait for next statement. confirm got TP details smile.gif

Added on May 10, 2011, 12:56 amOT, but yes correct.

extra info:

Shell = in the shop = RM1 get 1 point
Esso/Mobil = in the shop = no point

*in the shop means for non-petrol
*
In the shop (Esso), I use Smiles points to buy things. Not cash tongue.gif Anything also can buy with Smiles points, as long as you have sufficient points. But normally I buy mineral water or tin can drinks only. Why buy there if Tesco is just 500m away ?

100 Smiles = RM1

Also can use Smiles point to buy petrol. 1000 Smiles = RM15 (most worth to use) thumbup.gif

14 May (Sat) morning ~10am, I try swipe at Esso (tried 2 pumps) several times, all failed (using MBB-2-Amex).
Then I went home try online login M2u, it is down (maintenance).

Therefore, confirm Maybank got problem then.

15 May (Sun) morning ~11am, goto pump again. 1x swipe, all through thumbup.gif Lucky petrol station is very near my home.

Most of those big spenders, use it for business-travel purpose.
Some have to pay all first and claim later, including flight, hotel, restaurant/meals + expenses.
A single one week trip to Europe can easily rake RM10k-50k+
