for credit cards, you do not register from within M2U
the link is here

Just wanna share.
When I called MBB to activate my M2 card the CS told me (after the usual verification of course) that my card is ready for use, but for online purchase I'd have to register at Maybank2U.
Didn't bother telling her that she's wrong though. tongue.gif

Just curious, why did you apply for AEON?
From what I read here, that's probably one of the worst cc. sweat.gif

i just get my delivery maybankard 2 gold card today...
how do i get the pin number?
do i need to register something before i can swipe my card at overseas?

As long as the card is activated and you have sufficient balance you can start swiping.
It is best to inform the bank that you're going overseas; tell the bank the travel period and all.

Let me just copypaste what hye said laugh.gif

QUOTE
I figured that you have yet to encounter problems while travelling overseas. Several situations may arise namely
1. The bank flag your transaction as fraudulent thus your current transaction is blocked (the one that you are currently trying pay). Or in a more complicated scenario, the bank locks your account and you can't use your card until the bank successfully verifies you.
2. You are travelling to multiple countries ... you are successful in using your card in one and the next country your card get locks up because it looks suspicious in their system. This risk intensifies when you are travelling between regions.
3. Encounter problems with the foreign cc terminal. You can't use your card and you have no idea what's going on despite that you are sure you have enough CL to cover your expenses.
4. You need emergency cash and cannot execute cash withdrawal despite the terminal show Cirrus and/or Plus sign. Going to multiple ATMs does not help and you are scrambling to get cash. It worsens when it is the weekend, so you can't exactly walk into the foreign bank and use your passport to withdraw cash.
5. Bank tries to call you ... you cannot be called while overseas for multiple reasons - time zone difference so you are sleeping, the call did not come through or your mobile does not have roaming capability. You need to bear the roaming charges which can be a bomb since the bank will need to verify you before doing anything else and they work slowly as they think you are still in Malaysia. Let's face it, roaming are not necessarily very reliable. There are countries which the roaming system are absolutely problematic. Worst still, there are CS who does not understand the time difference factor and thinks the world is still in the local time.

To avoid problems, common practice or not ... just call the bank. The phone call is a whole lot cheaper and practical then needing to go through all sort of mess if you encounter problems. At the least, the bank knows you are currently overseas and if they (really) need to call you, they will hurry through the call and call you only if necessary.

I'm speaking from experience. There are times I called the bank and there are times I took it for granted and just forgo that call. Unfortunately disaster strikes when I forgo that call.

does anyone know if the weekend 5% cashback is applicable to all spending or only at selected establishments? I can't find a list at the maybank site.

Maybe the Mastercard will have something like Sunday rebates similar to the ones offered by CIMB/DA? Who knows. brows.gif

After clicking on 'I am interested', it took about a week for the cards to appear in my M2U. They didn't even call.

oh, so it's the same entrance with normal parking.
Is this OneCard Preferred parking very common? I'm afraid everybody is preferred sweat.gif
*
It used to be full of empty spots even during public holidays but now that's no longer the case. blush.gif

If it's the first Saturday of the month or it's a public holiday or near a festive season, expect the One Card parking area to be full if you arrive at, say 3PM.

There is another area designated for One Card holders, I'm not really sure where it is exactly but it's around the old wing.

There's also a 30% off for their Big Shot Cheesy Pops pizza.

Not sure if Maybank2card holders are eligible to get the 5% weekend cashback along with that though...

Went to Pizza Hut to enjoy 15% off for the ala carte items, take-away, but was told valid for dine-in only. Giving them benefits of doubt so I used OCBC Ti instead for 5%.

Lodge an official complaint via their QSR site.
My friend did that and not long after that he received a call from the manager of the Pizza Hut outlet that he complained about; offering a free meal.
The last time I checked, there are a lot of complaints regarding Pizza Hut Malaysia customer service on their Facebook page.

I have used my 10k TP to redeem the RM50 GST.

From my M2U I can see that the TP have been deducted, but I've yet to see the RM50 credited into my account.

Usually how long does it take for it to be credited?
FYI I redeemed it AFTER being charged for GST, not before.

for those who may not know, we can actually pay our bill using our CC via M2U.  Tried Visa and it was successful.  Not Amex tho.  Was rather excited with this "new" thingy, hehe.

On top of that, we can even pay our bills using non maybank CC via M2U.

Bought an account worth about RM30 using my M2 amex at fileserve.com, and made the payment via paypal.
Barely 5 minutes after transaction was approved, I got a call from Maybank asking me whether I just used the card at paypal.
The number was 03-27727500.

It's just RM30... tongue.gif
