I applied mine through email 7 days ago on my own initiative.
Then 4 days ago, someone from Maybank phoned me, i believe it's because i click the 'i am interested' thingy. She asked me to email the application to her and i did.
Just now, I called AMEX customer care line to follow up and was informed that there is no record on the system yet, and had me re-sent my application.
So all in all, i have submitted my application 3 times.

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Mar 15 2011, 01:31 PM) I applied mine through email 7 days ago on my own initiative. Today, i received feedbacks from all three channels, each saying my application is being processed. I send an email to inform them to not treat it as separate applications and give me Platinum AMEX+visa and Gold AMEX+visa I do not wish to end up having to pay RM50 + RM50 GST and have 4 cards from the same bank. Any advice on this? This post has been edited by Human Nature: Mar 16 2011, 07:48 PM

In the product disclosure, it is stated that" QUOTE Overseas transaction conversion fee for Maybankard 2 American Express Cards: Conversion factor of 2.5% to the converted amount. A charge that is made in foreign currencies other than U.S. Dollars will, when the conversion is done by American Express, be converted into U.S. Dollars before being converted into your billing currency. when you guys mentioned the conversion rate for the other cards, is the 2.5% interest already taken into factor? I wonder if all cards imposed this conversion fee?

From the brochure, MBB2 holders are eligible for AMEX membership reward as well. The TreatPoints and AMEX membership reward, are they the same thing?

QUOTE(beyond86 @ Mar 23 2011, 06:50 PM) TP= maybankard, can only redeem voucher MR= american express, can redeem to cash, RM1=200 point MBB2 AMEX gives 5 TP, MBB2 V/MC gives 1 TP, can be combined. This is confirmed. As for the above mentioned MR point, meaning for every RM1, MBB2 AMEX gives us 5 TP + 200 MR? Thanks

QUOTE(lj0000 @ Mar 24 2011, 09:54 AM) just had a chat with amex and they mention, that all cards will receive 10k tp if you actively use either the amex or visa card. the tp will appear in the visa side, and tax will be charged 1 month after the activation of card. if this is true, will be nice indeed

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Mar 27 2011, 12:34 PM) haha, you kiasu fellow just like me. Don't worry too much, just go collect the card at the branch and you'll be required to sign on the acknowledgement form that comes together with the card in front of the officer, SOP for all banks . And thank you for reading my blog. And since you are there, might as well sign up for online and MBB just introduce some new security features for their M2U. and dont forget to request for your TAC too

Yes, I have. I like the idea that we can use the picture to easily identify whether we are logging in to the correct site or a phishing site. It's good.

QUOTE(shado @ Mar 30 2011, 08:33 AM) Received an SMS informing that MaybankCard application status Approved. Checked Maybank2U and both account VISA and AMEX appeared. So it takes about 2 weeks since application on 14th March.. I will have to collect the cards myself at the bank. - Is there anything I should look out for? - I read somewhere in this thread regarding registration for online transaction? what is that? M2U? Also: - Resgister for Maybankard Secure Online Shopping (MSOS) http://www.maybank2u.com.my/mbb_info/m2u/p...sonal/CRD-Cards- Register for TAC from any maybank branch This post has been edited by Human Nature: Mar 30 2011, 08:42 AM
