AMEX can pay for cc ar?
it seems like d 5% is not really "friendly enuf" as not many merchants accept AMEX

Actually, it is because of this reason, you are getting 5% TP from AMEX. Think about it. biggrin.gif

But the Amex short fall can be easily overcome by alternative CC.

But when I tried at Carrefour and Maybank tower and inquired for TP availability, it displayed total combined TP.

So strange.
It's separated in the slip copy they gave to me. May be it's different for SOGO. Anyway, will try to find that slip.

Thanks, based on your previous transactions, can you confirm to this forum that the auto debit from your cc is F.O.C ?  If there is chargers, then it will defeat the purpose of paying via paypal in order to earn rebates and treat points. Personally, I believe there is chargers.
A long time Paypal user myself. I can confirm that when you do not have any money in your Paypal account, all payments made via Paypal will be directly debited from your chosen linked credit card/debit card/charge card.

By the way, Malaysians **can't add funds directly to their Malaysia Paypal account from credit card/debit card/charge card or via direct debit from a Malaysia bank account.

**Except RHB Bank account holders

Thanks notworthy.gif.

Maybe we can come out with a list of Paypal merchants in order to maximize the perks from MBB2 Amex ?
Let me start first:

Paypal Merchants
1) Maxis & Hotlink.

My Maybankard2 Visa's statement date is 26 April...
Due date : 15 May
GST charged on 16 April

If the GST redemption comes in before 15 May 2011, I don't need to pay RM50 via cash/cheque/IBG, right ?
Or must the GST redemption been posted on 26 April ?

Split your CC use based on
- OCBC Titanium use during the weekdays...
- Maybankard2 AMEX use during weekends...

Maybankard2 AMEX offers 5% cash-back rebate (Sat-Sun spends only)...PLUS 5x TreatsPoints

there's no such thing as 5% TP.
5% rebate, 5x TP (Treat Points).

just want to confirm something here, so for the maybank2 principal the gov tax is RM 50 (1 set RM50), and the supplementary is also RM 50 (each card RM25, so it is RM25+RM25) for 2 cards. So if I activate both the 1 principle and 1 supp I have to pay RM 100 at the first month, am I right?

That will have to depend on individual commitment lor. For a family man, periodical utility + petrol + grocery spending surely max out the RM50 cash back.
