i just double check with alliance plat helpline, alliance plat credit confirm cant access lcct lounge

so now i'm gonna terminate credit and apply debit plat

i just come back from alliance, with their debit plat.

card get immediately at the branch. min deposit rm20k, rm12 deduct immediately (card annual fee).

no name embossed on the card.
so can pass this card to any1 to use it to access the lounge?

no. mine is alliance platinum debit card for current account.

i just went to alliance and told them i want to open acc to get debit plat card. they said min deposit rm20k.

there is no min balance need to maintain, just rm12 annual fee for the atm (plat debit) card - this is what the bank officer told me.

i think they just gave me 'basic' current accout? coz no bank book and no cheque option.
got the plat card, deposit cash rm30k at counter, wait a while, then got slip (for atm pin number).

when i went to atm to change pin, i checked the balance, rm12 already deducted.

update: my alliance platinum debit mastercard is linked with HYBRID account no check (cheque)

yes and i'm choosing no cheque, already have it from maybank. besides, not giving cheque alot

just want to clarify with winner regarding the account type

yes i know alliance plat credit is unlimited access, but to klia only.

starting this year i might no longer go to klia, only lcct. since alliance credit cant access lcct lounge, thats why i terminate it and change to debit plat

err... not just customer service staff, even branch staff also

i ask my wife to go open the hybrid acc to get debit plat mc, the staff dont even know about the card, and the min req of rm20k!

their website is not update. even the printed brochure stated capped up to rm5k spending. but the latest update is rm4k only. confirmed with the bank staff ~

NO ~

if u noticed, all the credit card that can access the lounge got ANNUAL fee.

but certain card got condition to waived the annual fee.
except for CIMB VS (CIMB dont offer annual fee card, but ur annual income must be rm100k, and next year can enter again only if u spent rm100k this year).

as for mbb2 plat, its free for life and the req for annual income is rm60k only, easy to get - so the lounge will be full?

only KLIA. but u need to charge of above RM2,000 for air tickets or travel packages booked through our Gold Travel Service partners

btw yesterday (18-May at 6am) LCCT quota for Alliance not even reach 35 yet.

and Gen-X, u shouldnt post that here also (not just in ur blog)!

the quota can be easily finished within 1 hour!
yesterday 6am already thousands people at airport!

Added on May 29, 2011, 12:25 amin my case @ lcct, since alliance plat debit mastercard is un-embossed card, so the staff ask for the boarding pass (to see the name, not the flight time)

inside only for international flights. if local flights then can just enter the outside one.

AFAIK, only Citibank PremierMiles Card can access PPL (12 visits per calendar year).

Got Alliance Debit Plat statement today with this message:

"Dear Platinum Debit & ATM cardholder, complimentary access to Plaza Premium Lounge at LCCT & KLIA will no longer be available effective 1 November 2011"

yea, all other card that can access lcct lounge, got annual fee (but can waived if meet t&c) and no other benefits like alliance 1.5% cashback

9. Citibank PremierMiles Visa Signature - 12 free access to both KLIA and LCCT Plaza Premium Lounge

the correct terms:
"12 complimentary visits per calendar year for KLIA and LCCT combined."

PB need to have 200k with the bank. i dont want that (ok maybe thats just me).

UOB Preferred Plat can only visit lounge 1 time per month (thats why i cancelled this card ) besides have quota 400/month.
