I think nowadays they swap card so they detected it is a supp card, therefore cannot. This is what the Maybank staff told, so either is he is pursuing very hard to ask me to get Maybank 2 Premier but I still said I will try Signature first. If it is not allowed (Since next month got chance to try) then I will cut this card and get Maybank 2 Premier.
*
I did confirm once with Maybank CS and they told me that MBB VS Supp can can enter for free like what Human Nature said. Maybe you should call Maybank CS to reconfirm as sometimes branch people know nuts. Or were you informed by a staff at Maybankard Centre? Those at Maybnkard Centres are more familiar with their credit cards.

If principal cardholder has 2 priority passes.. can give to the spouse to enter?  Or the priority passes are issued on the name of the principal cardholders only?  It would be a waste if cant utilise all passes but cannot pass on to principal cardholder's spouse/guest.
*
I used to have 4 PPMC but now currently have 3. I can use all of them to allow our loved ones to enter our local Plaza Premium Lounges, i.e. KLIA and KLIA2. But, Singapore Sky-View Lounge won't allow me to use more than one. Click here to read my article titled Free Entries to Airport Lounges with Credit Cards where I mentioned I would then use 1 card to let me family member enter SkyView and use another to enter Rainforest Lounge, both located in Terminal 1 Changi Airport.

thought when u apply for the Maybank 2 Card Premier, you get

1) AMEX Reserve

2) Visa Infinite

So its complimentary already cos still not all places accept AMEX
*
And at places that accept AMEX, we can to earn 5X TP. Maybank 2 Cards Premier Enrich Miles conversion rate is 540TP = 1000EM which is equivalent to 1EM for every RM0.90 spent. For local spending, no other card can beat his for now.

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Dec 16 2014, 08:27 PM)
Update on UOB Visa Infinite

The PP is now for PPL in KL and SG only  doh.gif
4x entries per year from date of issuance.

Effective 15 Jan 2015.

Not sure if maybank will allow me to upgrade from VS to VI hmm.gif

My income is definitely not above 180k sweat.gif
*
For those who only need to enter local Plaza Premium Lounges for FREE, Maybank Visa Signature offer UNLIMITED entries BUT we need to spend RM50K with it to get the annual fee waived. Minimum income requirement RM100K p.a.

If one's annual income is RM150K pa, he can then qualify for the Alliance Bank Visa Infinite (click here to read my review ABB VI vs MBB VI vs UOB VI) which grants UNLIMITED entries to local and overseas airport lounges. But need to spend RM30K to get annual fee waived. If apply via Alliance Bank Privilege Banking, then the card is FREE FOR LIFE without any conditions. And Alliance Bank VI like UOB VI overseas conversion rate is freaking high.

May I introduce to you the AmBank World MAsterCard and Visa Infinite. If you had read my Credit Card Showdown 2015 - Malaysia's Best Top 10 Credit Cards, of course the Maybank 2 Cards Premier came ou as the clear winner. The FREE FOR LIFE AMBank World MasterCard together with the AmBank Visa Infinite credit cards managed to be ranked No.6.

The AmBank WMC and/or VI grant you "UNLIMITED FREE" entries to airport lounge on condition you swipe the card overseas 3 times before or after you enter the lounge. And one only needs annual income of RM100K to qualify for it. The lowest amongst all the commercial banks to get a WMC or VI. And best of all, it is FREE FOR LIFE without any conditions.

Click here to read AmBank World MasterCard (and Visa Infinite) Review by VergonDC and find out the pro and cons of the AMBank World MasterCard and/or Visa Infinite. If you do spend substantial sum of money overseas, the AMBank World MasterCard is one card to own because VergonDC will show you that the overseas conversion rate is way better than Maybank VI. And it even gives you better returns too!

looking at all the recent comments and i guess Ambank World card is the best and cheapest to enter the lounge?

swipe 3 times within 30 days meaning i can swipe on whatever like petrol for 3 times?

i jsut need a cc for premium lounge as my mbb cc for my daily usage
*
if you enter airport lounge often, then AMBank ok lah. But if you enter once a year at our local Plaza Premium Lounge, I tell you better use the RM50 (to pay GST) to get much better food outside the lounge.

sifu Gen-X

i now using M2Card Gold, after reading your topic now i so regret that i always use the TP to redeem jusco voucher... i fly alot, i should save my TP for Enrich Miles..

i use AMEX whenever i can, but some place that dont accept amex i will use Visa, but Visa only can earn RM1/ 1x TP.

so i now got another CITI bank Premier Miles Visa, RM 3 for 1 premier mile which equivalent to 0.73 enrich miles. (which mean RM 4.11 for 1 EM)
any other visa / master that can earn lower than RM4.11/EM spending locally?
*
For local transaction with FREE airport lounge access, best is

1, Maybank 2 Cards Premier AMEX RESERVE- 1EM = RM0.90
2. Maybankard 2 Cards AMEX - 1EM = RM1.40
3. Citibank Premier Miles AMEX - 1EM = RM2.00
3. Maybank World MasterCard - 1EM = RM2.00
5. Maybank Visa Infinite - 1EM = RM2.25
6. Alliance Visa Infinite 1 EM = RM3.00

Bro, please note for Citibank Premier Miles AMEX - 1 PremierMiles = 1 Air Mile for Frequent Flyer Programs,

However, above all need income > RM100K/year except for MBB 2 Cards AMEX

For income less than RM80K for local transactions (all cards below NO FREE airport lounge access)

1, American Express (without Maybank Logo) - 5600 Membership Reward points = 1000 Airmiles. So with 5X MR for selected local trasactions, it works out to RM1.12 spend = 1 Enrich Mile.

2. Maybankard 2 Cards - which you have 7000 Treats Points = 1000 Enrich Mile. So with RM1 = 5XTP, it works out to RM1.40 spent = 1 Enrich Mile.

3, Maybank Petronas Visa - 7000 Treats Points = 1000 Enrich Mile. So with RM1 = 5XTP, it works out to RM1.40 spent = 1 Enrich Mile. This card even offer 8XTP for selected transaction.

For more info on Enrich Miles earned per Ringgit spend, go to Enrich Miles Thread,

Once your income reach RM100K/year - check out FREE FOR LIFE AmBank World MasterCard or Visa Infinite wuth FREE airport lounge access - review by VergonDC a guest columnist at my blog.

Entry PPL this morning, beside the McD.
The staff asked for boarding pass for verification.
Inside is quite small but nice to take a rest

Bro, how's the food offering? Hot meals or just snacks?

However, I 'll be flying MAS for my coming trips and won't visit KLIA2 until May 2015. So I'll be visiting KLIA PPL where they have barista to make fresh coffee and coffee art too. Their pastries also not too bad.

Is it the PPL in KLIA you mentioned is on upstairs, should be second level right? Last year December I went there and have barista to make fresh coffee, food and beverages are many can choose
*
Wah, got nasi lemak, I'll be happy biggrin.gif

Yes, there is only one PPL at KLIA. Only if KLIA2 PPLs can offer the same service as the one at KLIA.

If KLIA2@Gateway, i.e. before Immigration, the shower and toilet (WC) same "room". If not mistaken there are 4 to 6 of them. No need pay a sen to shit or shower.

I had visited the KLIA2 Gateway PPL few times and if I'm not mistaken, those shower rooms that're open is either others had just used it or the cleaner just cleaned the shower room and in the midst of replenishing the used items such as clean towel, tissue papers, shower gel... etc, hence, it'a always better to ask the receptionist to open a new shower room as you get to use clean towel and well maintained shower amenities.  smile.gif
*
Previously they opened all the toilet doors. The last time I went, few doors were locked so I asked why? And was told because if all the doors are opened, customers will mess all the toilets and as such more cleaning work for them, hahaha. So you are right, ask for a new clean toilet smile.gif

Bro, next time drop by Skyview Lounge at the opposite end near Gates D. Sometimes they got satay and one or two dim sum dishes besides chicken or beef. And it's 2 levels, go to the upper level and there is a quite room where they have 2 chairs where you put your legs up and can kind of sleep smile.gif

Senior Gen-X, other than msia credit card, are you interested to review credit card issued by SG banks?

I find that there no SG credit card detailed review at the net so far. hmm.gif

Kinda off topic, but just asking since you might be familiar with it as well.
*
Bro, I got no ideas on SG credit cards. The only foreign credit card I have is Citibank Australia Platinum Rewards Visa where it is FREE FOR LIFE as long as I maintain my CitiGold status. I tell you, Malaysia is the best where many banks offer FREE FOR LIFE credit cards but not the case in Australia.

Anyway, no matter where one resides, the best credit card in the world is still Maybank 2 Cards Premier. Annual income requirement less than USD60K/year and it earns you 1 Airmile (Enrich of KrisFlyer) with less than USD0.26 spending anywhere on earth (VI outside Malaysia and AR withing Malaysia) tongue.gif And one gets to enter worldwide airport lounges 5X FREE per year too thumbup.gif If you are working in SG and spend you money there, you get 1 KrisFlyer Miles with every SGD0.335spent (or close to 3 KrisFlyer Miles with SGD1 spent)!!!! I don't think any SG credit cards can beat this. UOB PRVI AMEX or MC only offer 1.6 AirMiles for every SDG1 spent in SG.

Having said the above, we need less Enrich Miles compared to Kris Flyer Miles to fly Business Class to say to London. EM only need 55K (KL/LHR) whereas KrisFlyer 80K (SIN/LHR). Both did not consider redeeming online where you get 15%

Yes, someone mentioned it, How it works? I got no idea Need a sifu to give me a lesson - say redeeming EM vs Krisflyer vs AsiaMiles to London or Paris.

QUOTE(bearbear @ Jan 18 2015, 01:00 PM)
And I was wondering why no discount shown for my intended booking from Japan - KL. So i guess normal redemption cost 40k EM now they are selling at 34k EM. Silly me biggrin.gif
*
Bro, that's 15% discount. All online redemptions are entitled to 15% discount for Enrich Miles and KrisFlyer Miles all year round versus calling them over the phone. And the MAS sale until 24th Jan is for booking flights, i.e. paying for the ticket in full and not with Enrich Redemption.

Boy, we discussing Frequesnt Flyer Miles at wrong thread, haha. I was merely answering apj8188 question which was general in respect to SG cards.

Is it confirmed that PPL will issue a 'bill' for us to sign if our credit card shown is not eligible for complimentary entry?
That way we can decide to go in or not. ( Some of the PPLs are not worth paying for)

With the Priority Pass, the terms of use seem to suggest that the lounges will let us in and we sign our confirmation of using the lounge. Should we not meet any conditions for complimentary use, then the credit card linked to the PP will be charged accordingly. I've asked some lounges, and they say they are not privy to conditions of use and do not know if usage will be complimentary for a particular user. As far as they are concerned, they bill the banks.
*
Yes, the lounge will bill the bank or PPMC and won't have a clue as to how many FRREE entries we have remaining. IF our card has limited entries, we better keep track. And most are based on calender year and not anniversary of the card.

Post #1 shows AMEX Malaysia Platinum are entitled to selected PPL NOT Maybank AMEX Plat.

AMEX Malaysia refers to AMEX cards without Maybank logo.

I also read he shared that the PB status and VI will still be valid even if you withdraw the 200k out from alliance.

This is my next aim for cc.

Bro, last year, Alliance Bank did not imposed and annual fee for my PB VI even tho I did not spend more than RM10K with it. I think I spent less than RM5K.

However, an iFriend of mine informed me via Facebook and also posted a comment stating that Alliance PB VI now no more FREE FOR LIFE. However I did not verify this - I will wait for my ABB PB VI anniversary date and see what happens.

And it is clearly stated in the form that Privilege Banking customers are entitled to Lifetime Annual Fee waiver for the Alliance Platinum and Visa Infinite.

If you do not know where to look for the form, you can go my Facebook Page and see my comment for post dated April 3.

I wonder if boarding pass is a must for entry to PPL. will IC be acceptable?
*
Usually at KLIA, they don't even ask for my boarding pass or NRIC.

For PPL @Gateway KLIA2, do not not accept Priority Pass Membership Card but the one in Gate L and Wellness Spa do.

Last weekend, I had to use 3 cards to allow 2 of my children and myself to enter PPL @Gateway using my Allaince PB Debit Card, Maybank Visa Infinite and my RHB Premier Bankind Debit Card. My wife on the other hand used her own Alliance Bank Privilege Banking Debit Card.

The first card I gave them was the Alliance Bank Privilege Banking Debit MasterCard and to my surprise the girl asked for my NRIC. Previously I have used my Visa Infinite and they did not ask for my IC, can't remember if they ask for my boarding pass.

Then I realized why they needed my NRIC was because my renew Alliance Bank PB Debit has no name on it as it was issued on the spot when I when I got the renewed card!! The previous old Alliance PB Debit Card was sent from HQ with my name embossed onto it.

Same thing for my wife, they wanted her NRIC or Passport - not the Boarding Pass, so that they can enter her name into the system and issue the slip for her to sign.

Click here to my article My Credit Cards and My Bragging Rights 2015 and see for yourself the cards that are issued with my Premier/Privilege Banking status that allows me to enter KLIA 2 PPL @Gateway KLIA2 for FREE - i.e. Alliance Bank Premier Debit MasterCard (Annual Fee RM12.72), RHB Bank Premier Visa Debit Card (Annual Fee RM53 - waived with some conditions) and RHB Platinum Visa (FREE FOR LIFE without any conditions).

For KLIA PPL, Wellness Spa KLIA2 and PPL at Gate L - I have many card including the Priority Pass Membership Card that allows me to bring my entire family into them, hahaha.
