Just tried to pay my credit card just now through cash deposit machine. It failed. While everyone that is using the machine to cash deposit to saving account is fine. Can't find anyone that is paying credit card. I tried both machine and it failed.

Ask the guard whether anyone mention this and guard say no one complain yet. He help me to call the branch personnel directly using his handphone. Really appreciate the gesture!

The staff say perhaps its the line problem between the branch and headquarters and advise me to call the customer service.

Called customer service and she said the credit card payment system got problem today. For that, they'll extent the last payment date by 3 days.

I also pay my OCBC via my Maybank2U BSA account. RM 0.50. I rather pay for convenience.

The eligibility requirements for credit cards are revised as follows:

- The minimum income eligibility for new credit card holders is set at RM24,000 per annum;

- For cardholders earning RM36,000 per annum and less, the following would be applicable:-

Cardholders can only hold credit cards from a maximum of two issuers.
Existing cardholders who currently hold credit cards from more than two issuers are given up to the end of 2011 to select their preferred issuers. Cardholders will also be given at least two years to service their outstanding credit card debt for the credit cards that have been cancelled for the purpose of meeting this requirement.

The maximum credit limit extended to a cardholder shall not exceed two times their monthly income per issuer.
For existing cardholders, whose credit card outstanding balance exceeds the maximum credit limit, a grace period of two years will be given to them to meet with the new requirement.

Only if you earn below 36k/annum

Well....just 2 days ago...OCBC stuff contacted me and tell me to reapply for it again after the previous stuff rude to me. Do you think I will reapply again, I'm going to check whether my emotion and pride will do that or not? Its not about the quanlity stuff, is something wrong inside the OCBC system. I have enough cash in hand to ensure I can survive 3 years without work. Even my friend with lower pay and have debts still get the OCBC cards.

As usual it's based on First Come, First Served to get the RM20 additional cash rebate (~4% rebate).

If you didn't get the SMS, don't bother spending the RM500.

The problem is the card was sent to my house address, I'm sure my parents can't sign on my behalf.
I can't go back this week due to job commitment. Haiz. Another headache. I couldn't stop them as they already sent it out yesterday... I mentioned to the agent to get it sent to my office actually...

Thx for your reply. I just want to know which method is the preferred method when applying for OCBC card (online, agent or branch). Since fruitie told me about her bad experience with agent, I will rule that out.
