1) backup sdcard using copy n paste. backup contact using kies.  want to backup other? try my backup pro.
2) look 1
3) actually dont need. but to avoid conflict with settings that store in sdcard, just empty it.
4) just undo your backup step. lol

5) try 2.0.9.2. i heard that this is stable version for now n fast than 2.0.9 final.

Hi Everyone,

I've just managed flash to Froyo following the above instruction.
I then using the App2SD (that is pre-installed with this 2.0.9.2) to set the partitions. Then after reboot, I formatted my SD card also using the same application APP2SD. Everything went fine... which is great.

Just a noob question, i dont know why my application still in my phone. When i removed the sd card, my installed application is still there (in my phone).
What should i do to move them into SDcard?

Another question will be, how to install malay language pack for swype? i found that 2.0.9 does not include malay language....

thanks in advance.

How do you find this version (2.0.9.2)? Can you please share?

About your SD card, i think MAD Team App2Sd script cannot find the EXT4 partition on your SD card, and it couldn't mount it and creates "binds" (links, or shortcuts) for certain important filesystem locations (/data/app, /data/log and /cache). Therefore your applications is not moved to your sd partitions and they are still in your phone's internal memory.

I have this experience before. So I don't use MAD Team's App2sd to partition my sd card. Instead I used Mini Tool Partition Wizard and it works for me.

Sorry Bro.. typo error.. its 2.0.9. Thanks for your suggestion... Do you mind telling me on how should i partitioning my 2GB SD card (how many meg part 1, part 2 etc).
From previous message, i think somebody said that partition 1 (EXT2) should be setup around 200M, and the rest should be setup as FAT. Totally blurr...

Anybody have any idea on setting the Swype bahasa melayu?

1) Download the Partition Wizard Home here (don't worry, it's free) - http://download.cnet.com/Partition-Wizard-...4-10962200.html

2) Use this Partition Wizard to (you need to do this step if you've formerly partitioned your sd card) :

a) delete partition

b) wipe partition

b) format partition

3) Close the Partition Wizard

4) Use your pc to format the the SD card.

5) Then open back the Partition Wizard.

6) Create the necessary partitions (Merge/Resize Partition menu) , i.e. a) FAT32 b) ext4 set at not more thatn 500mb - both must be primary, then c) linux swap , around 50mb will do. (this is for App2sd)

If you are using Link2sd , you don't need the linux swap partition. Just the FAT32 and either one of these - ext2, or ext3 or ext 5 at not more than 500mb. Both these FAT32 and ext partitions must be primary.

7) After you've partitioned, just slot your sd card back to the phone and enjoy limitless applications on your sd card.

Good luck, bro!

And please do share here whether it works for you or not.
