for me the stable one is 2.0.9 final by motafoca.. if talking about DashBlacK rom, most of them complain about rooting problem.. just browse madteam

ya.. every time after boot. u need to make a 1 missed call to anyone or to yourself to clear the bug.. .. but if you dont want to do that. just answer phone using the screen, not by the answering button. no other phone bug other than that.

Yes.. seem nice, smooth. but market need to reinstall everytime after boot. want to upload screenshot. i think later.. .. cyanogen mod got pretty awesome feature. like customize system theme and lock screen. got profile setting, cpu tuning and a lot more.. and battery last longer.

what rom? stock? all your backup at Documents\samsung\Kies , backup it first.. use it on another pc or just reinstall kies or older one.

looking at the late official froyo release , that make sure there will no official gingerbread for galaxy 5.
luckily MadTeam make gingerbread available to galaxy 5 user, by the way it is from cyanogen mod, that make us triple lucky.

Market bug.. need to reinstall everytime reboot. i try remove it. then install it back. seem works fine now. no need to reinstall
another bug is telephone ..easy to say if someone call you, just pick it up using touchpad not the hardware keyboard..
or everytime after reboot, make a missed call to someone to clear the phone bug. need to do that everytime reboot. weird.. but it is...

NEW RELEASE CYANOGEN MOD 2.992

now based on Cyanogen 7.0.3 (stable version based on Android 2.3.3 - hopefully less bugs for us!). Fixed problem with missing Market icon; improved delay during first boot; upgraded audio driver (slightly less lag); added swap support / new app2sd implementation (see errata). Data wipe is required in all cases.

what phone to another phone? the contact is easy.. just export to .vcf format. even windows can read it. but sms i dont really know..
