Try Mx Player and Mobo Player. These two players can play almost all movies/music files. Download from market.

i tried mx player but still can't play(even i downloaded the codec) i think it's because of the size of the video.it's a 1.7gb files.lols
btw, why sometime, my phone did not ring when people called me? i am pretty sure i neither set it on silent mode nor set a no ringtone on my setting.

1) Connect to Kies and flash again.
2) If you don't root your phone, your warranty is still valid. But even if you have rooted, you can always unroot it.
3) If you want to play save, take your phone to Samsung Service Center, maybe it's the hardware problem.

Hey guys, i just flash it to Latest cynogen.
Currently I have 3 question:
1. how to turn on clockmod? I use odin to flash the .tar file to get into it, is that correct?

2. After i turn on the phone, it automatically goes 3g and sync my data, RM60 prepaid credit gone within 10 minitues, did any of u guys experience that problem ?

3. My internal memory is 183mb. I already format the EXT4 partition before. how to make it merge with phone memory? do i need to remove previous data on EXT4 partition?

thank you for your patience!

BTW, cynogen 7.1 run very smooth. the only thing i encounter is Radio is not functioning.

1. If you formerly was not using CyanogenMod v.7.0 and above, you probably did not have ClockWorkMod installed.
b) Therefore, you use ODIN to flash the CWM .tar file to install to you phone. This is only done once.
c) To enable CWM, you Press > OFF Button > Reboot > Recovery --------> your phone will reboot into CWM mode.

3. Everytime when you flash or upgrade a new rom, your phone will start with a start-up menu.
b) By default, the setting, > Data enabled < is ENABLED!
c) This is why, your phone will consume your data credits.
d) Therefore, it is advisable to remove your SIM card when flashing to a new rom, unless you have a packaged data contract with your line service provider.

4) You have to enable mad2sd by either using ADB with your pc, or by using your phone's Terminal Emulator using the following procedure :
a) Type " su " (without the quotes) and allow super user permission.
b) Type " mad2sd on " (without the quotes) and reboot.
c) Once you have done these two steps, your apps will be automatically installed in your sdcard's Ext4 partition.
d) To check your mad2sd status, type " mad2sd " and you'll see if mad2sd is enable on your phone or not.
e) It is not necessary to remove your previous data on Ext4.

NOTE :
1. For CyanogenMod v.7.0 and above, when upgrading new versions, and hotfixes, data wipe is not necessary unless it's stated in the changelogs of the new release.

2. It is advisable to perform backup with CWM in case there is anything wrong. Backing up with CWM will back up virtually everthing, your rom, data, settings, sms, contacts, personalizations like your launchers, wallpapers..etc. With a few clicks of your phone, you can restore back everything EXACTLY the same as when you backed up.

ENJOY!

1) Go Launcher is okay.
2) If you want fast, simple launcher, ZEAM or Nemus Launcher are great. They use low memory and have easy user friendly management.
3) If you like more functions, personalization, Go Launcher EX is good. But it uses a lot of memory and may slow down performance.
4) If you are saying disabling the adw launcher, go to > settings > applications > manage applications > ----> Select ADW Launcher > Clear defaults.
a) If uninstalling, Select > Uninstall. BUT BE CAREFUL! MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ANOTHER LAUNCHER INSTALLED OR ELSE YOU'LL FIND THAT YOU WON'T HAVE ANY LAUNCHER! AND YOU'LL THEN NEED TO USE ADB TO INSTALL ONE.
b) With a few launchers installed will NOT interfere with the performance of you phone. It's perfectly alright. (I myself have 4 launchers and I use them alternately!)

The problem is with Google's sync feature. It seems to have backed up your old Froyo (or older CyanogenMod) settings, and is now trying to restore the incompatible settings when you sign in, which is causing the problems you're seeing. What you can do is not allow the automatic backup the next time you do a data-wipe.

Additionally, if you're restoring Eclair/Froyo system settings via Titanium Backup, you're just asking for trouble. This is like restoring your Windows 98 settings on a Windows 7 PC. It could work, but it will most likely cause compatibility problems.

The solution :

1) Update the market app here : http://www.mediafire.com/?cv3zv11fdtivtci

b) try and see if you can install any app from the market.

2) If the above doesn't work for you, perform a data wipe and as stated above, DO NOT ALLOW the automatic backup after you have done data wipe.

b) Install your google apps/ and other apps one by one.

Good luck!

Kies cannot perform root or unroot. Use universal androot app or use back the app which you formerly used to root your phone.

Added on August 21, 2011, 7:48 pmCM latest v1.2 - without mad2sd using S2E (simple2ext) is now very fast without any lags - at the moment. Seem to be very light and CPU is very responsive. (My Sis upgraded. I still haven't... tongue.gif )

Will update feedback from my Sis. Testing...

Added on August 21, 2011, 10:21 pmHi Folks,

For those who want to use/upgrade to latest CyanogenMod version 1.2, the procedures are as follows :

A) For those using Eclair/Froyo or CyanogenMod below version 0.7 :

Required : You need to have either Ext3 or preferably Ext4 partition. Swap partition is not necessary unless you want it.

1) Download ClockworkMod Recovery latest version [CWM Ver. 4.0.1.5] v0.5 tar | - 21 August 2011

http://www.madteam.co/forum/development/%2...cret-projectgt/

a) Flash the above downloaded file with ODIN.
b) While flashing, CWM will boot up.
c) Select > Data wipe/factory reset. Wait for ODIN to finished then reboot.

2) If you have app2sd or mad2sd already installed and enabled,
a) Disable your mad2sd using Terminal Emulator by typing " su " and " mad2sd off " (without the quotes)
b) If you have many apps installed, the system will abort the procedure due to your phone's limited internal storage space.
c) If so, go to > settings > applications > manage applications -------> move your apps (one by one) to SD card. (you'll need to move back to the phone later on).
d) Then perform the disabling of your mad2sd as above Item a).

3) Download CM latest version 1.2 and Google Apps (20110613)

http://www.madteam.co/forum/development/%2...alaxy5%27-port/

a) Copy the above two files to the root of your sdcard.
b) Boot up CWM > Press OFF BUTTON > reboot > recovery -----> CWM will boot up.
c) Select > install zip from sdcard and install the above two files in SEQUENCE.
d) Reboot.

4) Go to market, install S2E (simple2ext) https://market.android.com/details?id=ru.kr...e=search_result
a) Open S2E and Tick all the check boxes which can be ticked in S2E.
c) Reboot.

5) Perform the procedure as in Item 2) c) above, and move all your apps back to phone (one by one)

Done!

B) For those who are already using CM version 0.7 and above :

1) Download ClockworkMod Recovery latest version [CWM Ver. 4.0.1.5] v0.5 zip | - 21 August 2011.
a) Reboot into recovery and install the above CWM.
b) Reboot.

2) Perform the procedure as above A) 2) - 5)

Hope this tutorial helps you folks.

Goodluck and enjoy! tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

wow thanks for the guide.
for the step 2.C it's quite painfull moving one-by-one the apps to sdcard. how about I backup apps using titanium then uninstall all apps (using multi-uninstaller app?) then after flashing to new v1.2, I restore all apps using titanium.
OR
is there app to move apps to sdcard simultaneously?
I've install 50+ apps ~_~
