QUOTE(alexysc @ Jun 19 2011, 06:15 PM) did u run "su" and "mad2sd on" in the phone's terminal emu and then reboot? if no, it'll be slow. i dun use swap and it's fast, but i'm not sure if this is the cause of the slow. madteam did recommend to delete swap if it's slow. another issue is the class of your sdcard. I use class 6. i've read that below class 4 is slow. Yup done dat after flash hotfix.. any diff reboot n shutdown coz i do shutdown My contact gone d rest ok use ttnium huhu |

QUOTE(alexysc @ Jul 29 2011, 08:06 PM) CM v.0.9 + hotfix6 - Stable, reliable, fast and smooth. hehhehhe tqtq.. mine 1 (2.3.4,cm7.1.0-rc0, grj22) before cmw came around so i need to flash cmw via odin..Guide/Procedure : I don't know what CM version you are using. But if you are using v0.7 and above, then you must already have CWM installed. v0.7 and above : 1. Download CWM v.4 zip (latest) link/instructions : http://www.madteam.co/forum/development/%2...cret-projectgt/ 2. Download CM v.07 , hotfix6 and Google Apps (20110613). http://www.madteam.co/forum/development/%2...alaxy5%27-port/ 3. Install the three downloaded files (Item No.2 above) in sequence. 4. Reboot. Done. v0.6 and below : 1. Download CWM v.4 tar. 2. Flash it with ODIN. 3. During the flashing, CWM will boot up in your phone. Select data wipe/factory reset. (make sure you have already backed up your stuffs). 4. Reboot. 5. Copy the three files (Item No.2 above) to your sdcard. 6. Boot up CWM by pressing the OFF (calls off) button, select reboot > recovery. CWM will boot up. 7. Select (from CWM) > install from zip in sdcard. 8. Install the three files in sequence. 9. Reboot. (Data wipe not require) 10. Done. PS If after you've finished the above and find that there's any problems, then only do data wipe/factory reset (with CWM) Good luck. let me download 1st all file needed then will find u if got any prob.. i've read about google app n they say dont install full package only pick some the rest get it from market.. which app refer to "some"?? n which app dload from market?? |

QUOTE(alexysc @ Aug 11 2011, 11:41 AM) 1. Before you install newer CM versions, it is advisable to back up your present rom with CWM. Actually when you do this (backup with CWM) it virtually back up everything.... your rom, settings like launchers, personalizations, applications..etc. proven d best place to get answer Just in case if anything goes wrong in newer versions, you can always restore back. 2. If you want GPS to lock faster, use it frequently (at least once a week) as when you are using it, your phone automatically updates with satellites. tq fren..!! |

QUOTE(alexysc @ Aug 28 2011, 11:45 PM) Yes, it's the problem with mounting in S2E. planning to flash it today but too many changes to do in cm1.2+hf1..But now I have successfully re-installed hotfix1 (been using it for more than five hours) and no problems. The procedures I did (according to Psyke's new guides) : 1) Move all the apps to internal memory. I used Titanium to backup and then deleted all my apps as the phone internal memory is not enough. 2) Copy my FAT32 contents (personal stuffs) to a folder in my pc. (Just to make double sure). 3) Untick all the checkboxes in S2E. 4) Partition my sdcard using CWM. (This is the same as formatting and partition) - EXT4 as 12++ MB (I have forgotten the exact size, it's in CWM for you to choose the size) and Swap as 0 MB (no swap) Reboot. 4a) Copy back the FAT32 contents to sdcard (as the CWM folder with backup files, Titanium Folder , etc are all there). 5) Install v.1.2 , hotfix1 and gapps in sequence. Reboot. 6) Install S2E and Enable "Mount as ext4" (mandatory) and "Set read buffer" 7) Close it and reboot. 8) Open S2E and tick all the available checkboxes in the 1st page. 9) Reboot. 10) Download Titanium from market. 10) Restore apps from Titanium. Done. i guess above procedure is the best..?? |
