I'm using the ceramic brake pads with ori disc rotor. So far so good. Bought it during the bulk buy which organize by chteh0721.
Really less dust compare to stock and better that the stock one in terms of bite.
I do really like it after a few days using can see dust but not as black as the stock one even though a hard work washing the rim every weekends.

Till now still OK..tongue.gif

By the way, last week I just change my rotor to cross drill and slotted. Wanna let go my stock disc rotor for RM160 front and back. Any takes, do let me know.

Mass reply... Here goes..
RM 400+ for cross-drilled. RM 150+ or so for ceramic pads.
I'm just worried that powerzone's outlet after nenas might be bigger than hotbits. Furthermore, hotbits is plug & play, powerzone is welded if I'm not mistaken.
Hmm.. I actually kinda agree with u.. Mine also got some metal knocking noise, but very very rare la.. Once in a while.. Maybe because the rubber hardened up? Might check with SC on my next service.
Persona Evolution M WRX STI AMG laugh.gif
Tuah is definitely going to replace Persona. I'm speculating that it should be released around the same time as the Nissan Fuga-based Perdana replacement model.
Sell or trade in? If trade in, the highest price I achieved was RM 1.1-1.2K.
I'm not so sure... If my wallet allows, maybe I'll change to powerzone too? XD Just to see the difference... But no lah.. not now.. not in the next few months to come..
If rims get 2nd hand I dun mind.. I'd probably send it for painting & fixing scratches then it'll look nice n new again.. But better get new tyres lah.. Unless u know the owner himself, u wouldn't know how many times the owner E-braked or drifted with the tyres until the threads not nice d..
I told u that 17 inch rims are light.. U don't believe me sweat.gif
Hmm.. Soundproofing..  hmm.gif Thinking of double-padding my doors too.. but no money..
Ask those who attended TT whether my setup noisy or not.. For me it's fine, cos got 2 mufflers to reduce the noise.. Hotbits setup is 4-2-1, 2 mid muffler then tail pipe.. Mine is 4-2-1, swirl bullet, mid box, S-flow..
Performance mods:
Extractor (full set up to the tailpipe if budget/sanity allows), featherweight japanese sport rims with good tyres, preferably Potenza or T1R, Standalone ECU (HKS F-Con V Pro, RM6k), spark plugs (Volkers', Denso Iridium), air filter (Simota preferably, or K&N)..

Visual mods:
Bodykit (Airmaster, original PE M/H line bodykit, R3 Gen2 front bumper), tints, LED strobe lights, Projector lights with HID, TRD spoiler, Decals/vinyls.

ICE mods:
Double/single din HU (Kenwood/Pioneer/Alpine), 4-6 speakers setup (Any brands of ur preference), 2 amplifiers, 1 12" woofer.

my car have sent to another sc to help me solve the rattling sound at rear.they ady open out all the abosorber and nut to put grease and screw bec..last they assumed the problem is come from stabilizer bar..so they was readjust it and change the bush..the sound was still appear once twice, but less than b4 lo..ya,do u guy think my car wit 17inch rim onli can achieve 0-100 in 12sec(full throttle rev to 6.1k rpm then change gear automatically),is it very slow?i use D drive and the road was uphill a bit..hopefully will improve to within 10sec after change the hotbits full exhaust on next month..i think my car slow due to 17inch rim lo..maybe oso due to uphill and shell engine oil.

Nope. Only the extractor which got it from EA and the rest got it from JFA, Sunway.

I been to speedworks many times to enquire..but nvr manage to get from them.. tongue.gif
Only recently got the disc rotor from them..at the same time test test the myvi and city turbo...

i think 17 inch not the reason guah...since ur 17 inch is lighter than stock rim right?  hmm.gif
0-100 in 12 sec ok mah...cos stock car need 13.9sec to reach 0-100 oso..
*
yup,is more light..but the width of tyre was a big difference,so the engine need use more power to push the tyre..tats why slow lo..somemore i test at abit uphill road....so actuali not quite accurate..hehe..

with the 17 inch.... did the overall diameter of the tire + wheel increase? if increase.. will have more significant effect on pickup .... i think... just like when we initially try to turn umbrellas with different size ...
*
ya,it is increase..my tyre is 215/45/17..

Use castrol loh.. Till now my car ady 10200km ady.. 800 more km to next service but the engine is still as light and silky smooth as when new.. Took out the dipstick just now and there oil is around 40-50% darker than original.. Shell helix hx7 ady 80% darken by this time ady..
Persona biggest can put 18" loh.. But then it looks very weird for the front tire cos its out of proportion. It looks perfect for the back tire though.

Added on March 31, 2011, 11:02 pm
Abit uphill and 12sec ok loh.. On flat road she be 10.X secs only lah.. Cos persona heavy, low end torque is poor.. Then u go test it going uphill somemore.. =.=
*
hehe..i juz test shiok onli lo..oso got record the video..hehe..the road i test is at lekas highway..the last tol need to pay which located at semenyih there..ya,persona is heavy, somemore my car is 17inch rim..hehe

Hehe.. Nvm.. Can do below 10secs one.. XD.. Ur rims are lighter than my pasu bunga rims.. XD
*
ya,sure lighter..but the width of tyre ady is big issue, need more power to push the wheel..actuali is ok la..wit 17inch rim still can get tis data even uphill,is quite satisfy..if shift gear from L to 2 and to 3,i think maybe will abit faster than D drive..

I haven't try to smoke already he say AD105 to me larr...
Ok wan... but U wan keep stock for wat? Scared government increase brake price after the election? brows.gif
Anyone can do any kind of claims what.. I can claim my setup more powerful than powerzone, hotbits, kweng's, or even mfa's... But is there proof? brows.gif
Agreed. Ur 17 inch is actually lighter than ur 15 inch standard stock rim, so by right pickup will only be affected in the earlier RPMs but after 40 KM/h or so it doesn't affect anymore.
brows.gif
Width of the tyre is also the big issue to why ur car handles better, rite? brows.gif
Me too..
*
ya,from 0-40 ady can affect slow around 1-2 sec ady..hehe..but nvm la,test at uphill mah..ya,the width tyre slow down my 0-100 time, but handling is double good than stock tyre..will try during go to genting..hehe

Check this out.

http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp

Then you will know what tire sizes will either cost you high fc or not OR  incorrect speedometer reading. This is the guide i used when i was up sizing my wheels.

TS: You should make this link a sticky so that less peeps will be repeating the same question over and over.

Another thing, bigger wheels does not necessarily mean higher fc and slower acceleration. And, lighter wheels is also a BIG PLUS.

actual my speedometer show 98kmh ady means i hit 100kmh ady after i calculate it..tat means i only use 11sec to hit from 0-100..

11 sec only even better la...if after exhaust mod, sure will  drool.gif

after install full set hotbits, hope can improve..the speedometer reali not accurate after change to 17inch tyre..b4 tis when i drove 100kmh,my gps stated is 93kmh..nw i drove 100kmh wit 17inch rim,the gps staed is 96kmh..hehe..so tat means my record is around 11-11.5sec for 0-100 at abit uphill road..my cousin wira 1.6 manual oso need around 11sec to hit 0-100 at straight road and wit 14inch rim..hehe..tat means our campro engine more powerful than 4g92p,the results will be same due to weight..
