both cars have spare tyres inside(that's 20kg extra)?

engine oil? both still using syntium 800? that is one thick oil, if one uses thinner full syn oil then i'll be different.

most important, is jack a fast shifter?

this morning my ride got engine light ON

then the RPM up n down from 1.5 to 0.70

then car jerking then suddenly brake pedal hardened when pressed..

no brake so hit motorbike..then rest the car at petrol station drive to eon to check...

my bumper got scratch..i love myride..but it seems wanna kill me hahaa

Very nice experience drag race. Few questions to justify the results of 2.0CVT vs 1.8MT

You say 2.0CVT win 1.8MT from Gear 4 onwards? What is the speed you are running on Gear 4?
If running above 120KM 2.0CVT is pulling away, I would say 1.8MT is better in city driving. I prefer 1.8MT 0-100 faster than 2.0CVT.

What is the mileage for both cars? Engine run-in yet?

And is the 1.8MT driver skill enough to change gear? Are you guys running on straight road or with corners?

And finally 1.8MT can drop in a bolt-on turbo anytime to pawn 2.0CVT.

i checked mitsubishi m'sia & inspira m'sia... the catalog stated black & white.. engine name in inspira like not same with mitsubishi.. is it like ap for inspira?

why don't you buy both cars (lancer & inspira) and dismantle their engines to do a postmortem, scientific analysis,just to satisfy your curiosity?

i dont get overheat issue on my prev Jazz, i dont hear any issue on CVT from audi, nissan n etc too. its a design flaw by mitsubishi on the lancer from the start.

come on guys, i dont mean to attack inspira or anything particularly. as for my jazz, never have issue for the CVT even i clocked more than 100000km b4 i sold it.

to be honest. i did revved the inspira to overtake cars and engine braking n etc. no issue. the overheating only arise when i maintain at 210+kmh near the alor gajah stretch with partial throttle. so the rpm is definitely not high rev. after 5mins at that speed, there goes the warning light. on the way back from tangkak to KL, i maintain at cruising speed around 180-200kmh. no issues. its weird considering the 10+kmh threshold margin. but i believe the overheating is just a warning it went up to the safety temp point. its definitely not hot enuff like overheating engine oil to break the oil molecules. 

Excellent point. I am using it as normal family sedan...no worries for me, hehe....120km-140km/h at most on highway.

Most importantly, can fly up Genting no problem whlie leaving the Dugong and City behind biting my dust crawling like snails.
