CKK,
wow nice review on comparison, protn really did a good job to really improve the lancer.
actually besides the tight fittings of the parts which was to 0.2-0.3mm clearance compare to 0.5mm for lancer, this is another good example on sound insulation etc. smile.gif

Yeah, i really want to know...if SG works and REALLY CAN GET FREE REPAIR, then i am all for it.

Say Poadster, how often does the watermark grows?? You got yours fix for watermarks FOC also??
*
I also did SG and by far am very satisfied.. Washing is super easy!!! Just spray water then wipe (advised by mr. Choong).. Poadster is right.. It catches Finger marks (oils) but very easy to wipe off..

No matter what sealant u use, rain, bird poo and other abrasive threats must be cleaned asap.. I only have one bird poo mark (not really visible) cos i left it baking under the sun.. I dun have watermarks yet even though it rained right after my SG.. the water just slides away.. (see my post on first page)

Now i maintain with Meguires UQD which is a breeze to use.. My car is my pride!! Its gleaming every fkn day!!! Yayyy!!!

Just to share..Similar results can be achieved by washing/claying/polishing and waxing ur car (polishing only for old paint.. New paint no need lah..) as i do with my other 2 cars.. If u do it properly.. It can last for weeks even though parked outside everyday..(porch only for inspira.. Hahaha) BUT.. ur gonna be as tired as fck just for 1 car.. (maintaining is easy lah..)

Good luck!!! Remember, maintaining with UQD is important...IMHO

lancer door vs inspira door
When solving the hissing sound, opened the door panel and saw something i dont recall seeing in the DIY forum for the lancer

have a look at these photos, now tell me if 1)proton's paint is crappy and 2) proton did not improve on NVH

i think 50 is too heavy, maybw xw40 is enuff. The first digit(for cold temp) doesn't matter, coz it ain't gonna snow in Mareisha....maybe other owners can share....anyway, i am going to use semi-synth oil by Petronas anyway...coz it comes free with the package...LOL.

I think unless you always rev kaw-kaw and do 200km/h most of the time, semi-synth should be fine.
