QUOTE(azarimy @ Feb 10 2012, 12:52 AM) sorry, i do not have information on this. ookay, that means taking foundation is better than diploma in architecture? i. it's safe to say that a diploma will lead to 2nd year of a BSc Arch, nothing more. ii. BSc Architecture is equivalent to LAM Part 1. but u must check if it's accredited or not. if u're talking about IPTS, i can easily tell u that they are not. in future if i wanna open a firm or can say i wanna be a boss, then i have to go for LAM part 3? is that take long term? may i know the fresh grad salary for diploma and degree in architecture and QS? only government uni's BSc architecture offer LAM part 1/2?? |

QUOTE(azarimy @ Feb 11 2012, 11:14 PM) i. well, degree is always better than diploma. foundation is just a way to get urself to do the degree much fasger. i. UTAR BSc architecture ok?or any other uni bsc architecture is accredited LAM part 1?cause look at the first of your post only government's uni degree are accredited LAM part 1.ii. part 3 is not necessary to open ur own firm. but if u want to be in full charge of the practice, YES. it doesnt really take long. some people have done it within 3-4 years after graduating. others took 20 years. iii. diploma is about RM1400-RM1800 depending on the size and location of the firm. degree part 1 is about RM1600-RM2000. part 2 is around RM2400. not sure about QS. ii. LAM part 2 doesn't really like degree?i mean have to go to uni everyday go for class and blabla. It is really only just go for work after that get some experience from work and then go apply for exam and done some good stuff in your job within 2 years ? iii. if i work for others firm ,can i get a project by myself and then get some profit from it? |

QUOTE(azarimy @ Feb 12 2012, 10:36 AM) i. at the moment, only IPTAs host accredited degree. however, refer below: i. If i go for other uni that not accredited degree , can i still able to open a own firm? or can i work at overseas like singapore?ii. u mean LAM part 3? yeah. LAM part 2, on the other hand, is still a degree (bachelor's or masters). iii. well, u can, but u have to do it outside office hours. some firms even outlaw the practice due to conflict of interest etc. breaking news: An IPTS in Klang Valley have become the first IPTS to be accredited with LAM Part 1. The accreditation is conditional due to some discrepancies and they have 2 years to remedy it. But it's the first time that a private school EVER to be accredited. I'm sure students will now flock to the IPTS. Official announcements will be made soon. ii. then LAM part 2 how is it? |
