Does studying interior architecture needs to get recognition (like Part 1 Part 2?) same as studying Architecture?

QUOTE(azarimy @ Mar 7 2016, 04:17 PM) it does. but not as extensive as an architecutral programme. ok, thanks! so far, here's the list of recognized interior design programmes: http://lam.gov.my/index.php/accreditation/id-programmes.html uhmm I didn't take art subject in SPM and I still can apply for the course right? I'm going to apply scholarship for the course but I actually dk what to prepare for portfolio (I saw some of the universities stated that test/portfolio is needed if one didn't take Art subject in SPM) So, I wonder what should I prepare/draw/include in my portfolio? (I have 0 experience ) |

QUOTE(azarimy @ Mar 8 2016, 09:15 PM) Yes. Art subject is a bonus, but not a compulsory requirement. Alright, thanks a lot!! Portfolio requirement for scholarship is most likely different than what architecture schools require. We usually want to see creative and artistic skills (where else could we see this if u didnt take art subjects in SPM?). So whatever creative product that u have done, regardless formally or informally, can be included. For example: Sketches, illsutrations, paintings Posters, magazine cover/layout, logo design Grafitti and murals Photography and photo editing Models, sculptures, fashion design etc Landscape or interior design Remember, it could span as far back as 7 years old if need be. |

Hello Mr.Azarimy
It's April now so I guess the chance for me to get scholarship to study diploma in architectuaral studies is quite low. So I decided to go for Form 6, I was a science stream student back then but I'm going for Art Sream in F6. (I don't think I can cope with Science subjects in F6 bcuz I didn't perform well in F4 & F5) I wonder does studying architecture needs Science subjects? (as far as I know Maths subject is compulsory right?) Thanks~ |

Hello can you briefly explain what's the difference between Sains Seni Bina, Perancangan Bandar dan Wilayah and Ukur Bangunan? (oh gosh I just realized that there is a lot of name for Architecture in Malay) and I wonder do lecturers use Malay as their teaching language? Hello, Mr.Azarimy
I'm in currently from F6 Arts stream and taking maths, I knew that Maths is one of the requirements in order to study architecture course but I found that the syllabus for maths in arts stream are mainly more to Statistics and finance, while someone told me that Science stream maths (which have Trigonometry) is much more useful in studying architecture. (this kinda upset me as my level of Trigonometry was at Form 5 level.) One question is why do Architecture course accept Arts stream students too while their syllabus is more towards statistics? |
