Have you called your ISP's helpline?: Yes. Called them 4 times in 3 days. Really fed-up.
Modem: Hua Wei (given by TM)
Router: Dlink DIR-615 (given by TM)
Firewall used: not sure
First occurence of problem: 4 days ago
Problem frequency: every night around 10-12
Has anyone experience slow dowload speed running speedtest or TM speedtest? Few days ago I find my unifi like not moving. Play YouTube video clips lagging. So I did a speedtest and to my suprise the ping time is 1016ms, download speed 0.2mbps and upload speed 3.21mbps. I called unifi technical team at the support number and asking him whether my area has unifi problem, he told me no. Then he ask me to use LAN cable to connect my notebook to the dlink router and run speedtest again. Downloading speed still very slow, almost same as connect via wireless. So he ask me to capture screenshot and send to their email address. I sent thr email with screenshot as requested. The next day, I received an email from TM support asking for a screenshot again, so I reached home after work and send in the screenshot again after running speedtest again. The download speed better at 1.1mbps. So I call the technical team again and they told me they are escalating my problem to higher level.
Today 30 mins ago, I try speedtest again an my download speed drop to 0.2mbps. It had been 2 days as yesterday I didn't call them. So just now I called TM again and this lady over the phone tell me they are doing maintenance upgrade and during peak hours, I will experience slow in speed. So I asked her what time is peak hours, she told me it's 3pm - 1am.... Means for working ppl like me, night time no need use Internet at all??
Anyone has similar problem like me? I really fed up using unifi now.. Pay for 5mbps and get 0.2mbps. Any suggestion to help?
