am eyeing on the value internet plus
RM50 for 1.5gb, then SMS and call is pay-per-use
is it? cannot go Maxis prepaid?
how about prepaid for other telco?
*
As far as I know, postpaid number cannot switch to prepaid.

I used to call Maxis Customer Service asking about this and the answer is no.

If you're talking about MNP your postpaid number to other telco, you can try PM digilife, maybe he can answer your question.

So far I'm very disappointing for hotlink prepaid users, call to customer service will be charged, compare to other telec call to customer service does not charge your balance at all.. (In case you wan to make an inquiry anytime, anywhere)

I'm very concern about after service. smile.gif

Get used to it bro. nod.gif

I am not looking for a STARTER-PACK. as I said, I just need  a top-up voucher for my existing HOTLINK-prepaid number.  For example : I know that in Thailand you can buy Maxis and other Malaysian Telco's top-up in HAT YAI CITY
*
No need to be so harsh, he wanted to help you but misunderstood.

Why don't you top-up using Internet Banking?

For surfmore50, since it don't free any talk time at all, i was wondering how the voice plan was billed?

a) Monthly commitment RM50 cover 2G data and voice bill call up to RM50 per RM0.12/min ?

b) Monthly commitment RM50 for data only. Voice usage as individual bill. Mean monthly RM50 (data) + RMxx (voice) RM0.12/min ?

Which scenario is it? a) or b)?
*
B. Pay as-you-use rates, the credit limit for voice call and SMS should be RM250 (default).

You can decrease or increase the credit limit accordingly.

The data should be 3G not 2G.

U Mobile Prepaid Broadband have 2GB for RM40 per month. And my experience in KL is their 3G speed averages faster than Maxis. I used it this month and about to auto renew. Satisfied with it. After quota the speed is capped. I measured it at 55kbps down and 150kbps up.
*
Yes, Umobile broadband is stable but 2GB for RM40 is almost the same you can get with other telcos.

2GB is nothing. sad.gif

No doubt this is part of their strategy to earn / profits easily.  shakehead.gif

Correction, I think the Maxis code does still work as I tested it just now. The problem is there is no meaningful response from their system after sending the code.
*
Bros, it's true that we need to call Maxis to deactivate the Voicemail.

They will ask registrar full name as a recognition.

You can't use the code, period. nod.gif

Just call Maxis CS and ask them not to send any shitty Caller Ringtone including promos etc to your phone.

And disable the Voicemail too if you don't need it. biggrin.gif

Hello there..
Planning to get the Samsung Note 2 next week and I'm a hotlink prepaid user. Was wondering if the 3gb for RM68/month is compatible with the device and how the usage is like.
Would appreciate a reply and help on this.
Thanks.  smile.gif
*
If you're lite user, just doing normal surfing and Facebook, 3GB data is good enough.

Your question on 'how the usage is like' referring to what?

Data usage is base on individual because heavy downloader and lite user usage is always different. nod.gif

I plan to subscribe to Maxis postpaid promotion for Samsung Galaxy Mini 2. This is my first time buying a smartphone, and I don't know if I should subscribe to the 250Mb or the 1Gb data plan. Any advise? How much data do you use?
*
Data is depends on your usage.

I'll recommend 1GB, 250mb is unacceptable for humans. tongue.gif

Does anybody know the SurfMore 75 plan... what is the internet speed? Is it 1.0 Mbps?
*
Bro, it depends on your location and your setup.

Say your phone or modem can support DC-HSPA+, the maximum speed will be up to 42 Mbit/s.

Bear in mind it's up to 42Mbps. biggrin.gif
