Just received a message from Maxis.

RM0: Great news for mobile internet users on 1GB & above plans. Effective 3/12/12, upon exceeding your plan quota, you may continue browsing at a reduced speed for FREE as we have removed the RM0.30/MB charges. However, to enjoy browsing at a regular speed, we recommend you purchase a quota upgrade by dialling *136*9#

So now free already?
*
Wondering what's the reduced speed also. But it already make Maxis mobile plan more interesting since last time all ppl worry that the quota exceeded and charge alot.

i'm on surfmore 50 and i received the message as well

i guess it applies to all plans as long as the quota is over 1GB
surfmore 50 can be one of the best mobile internet plan now, if you seldom make calls or sms. RM50 for 2GB , no overcharging if exceed quota, and MUCH MORE STABLE speed and connection compared to digi  thumbup.gif

Yea. I also planning to get surfmore plan 50 since it is cheaper than digi. Do update us if there is no charges after the quota. rclxms.gif

Want to ask, any users here using SURFMORE 75? If after reach the 5GB data quota, will Maxis bar your data, or still let you use as unlimited but throttle your speed?
*
As far as i know, for the data plan >1GB, they will throttle the speed only.
