Can you do tethering with the Hotlink HotTicket? Like the 24hour/100 mb one.

Edit: Ooops should search more carefully first http://www.hotlink.com.my/web/wcm/connect/...cket_faq_en_web

How do I do this?
If you are using a Maxis modem, the necessary configurations are already pre-installed.

If it is a non-Maxis modem, then some simple configurations are required as below:
Using Modem
Insert SIM into modem and connect the device to your personal computer
Wait for desktop client to appear on screen
Select Tools>Options>Profile Management

Configure the information required as below:
APN: unet
Number to dial: *99#
User ID: maxis
Password: wap

Please ensure your Modem has SMS capability to receive notification.
I'd like to use my phone as a modem to surf the Internet on my personal computer. How do I do this?
The settings are similar to using a USB modem with some minor differences. Some handset manufacturers provide computer software which will make it easy to use the phone as a modem. Eg. Nokia PC Suite for Nokia devices.

If you do not have any computer software for your phone, Maxis recommends you to create a new network connection

In both cases you still need to configure the settings below:
APN: unet
Number to dial: *99#
User ID: maxis
Password: wap
So answer is can.

Next question. Can I activate another hotticket before first one expire? I know can't have 2 active at the same time, if activate second one kills first one is fine. Reason I may want to do that is because if I run over 100MB data limit (for 1 day ticket) will be very expensive. Yes they send SMS, but depending on what I'm doing by time I noticed may be spend a few ringgit already. I guess can use slowly slowly when I know it's near running out but annoying like that. Easier if 95-99MB use already I just activate another one (time limit is not so much of an issue, just don't browse for 10 mins or so), lose 5MB not so bad as spending a few RM because over limit.
