Wow this one is really fighting Digi's smart plan head-on. I wonder if customers can still subscribe to their value added service like Extra Sms and Extra 10.

Hey guys,

I'm planning to switch to Maxis postpaid line soon, and I'm considering whether to take a phone together with the plan or just the plan only. I'm currently using iphone, I was thinking if I don't want the phone I could also sell it. So which is better?

if Hotlink, so long as the line is registered in your name, just go maxis centre with your IC

Maxis will be able to block your line temporarily and issue a new sim card attached to the same number

it may take a few hours or more before your new sim card can be used

the fee is RM25.00

Is the 123 number to call the helpline also applicable for the prepaid users?

Actually they should make it free for all regardless the user is prepaid or postpaid.

I have my frustrating time with the Maxis CS one time. I even bombarded them over the phone for taking forever to get to my call. I waited for almost 10 minutes to get my called answered by the CS and I didn't even get a good explanation to my queries. doh.gif

Can anyone access
http://www.maxis.com.my

....AND
does anyone have the problem of the person on the other end of the call being unable to hear what you're saying?

Edit : Called them up, seems like they're having network issues in certain areas.
Edit2: Link works now... but occasionally, it goes down with some error

Seems attractive but for DiGi smart plan, even if you over your monthly quota you still can use the internet for FREE but only at slower speed.

Unless our beloved Maxis does this as well, else it still won't be a DiGi smart plan killer.

All,

Previously from DIGI, and I just change to the the Maxis value plus internet 50.

For some reason the speed is damn f*(@#@ slower than DIGI.

Anyone experience this?

What is your speedtest? i'm getting like 512 kbps which i can get about 1 mb with digi...

By slower speeds you mean 5kbps? That's ridiculous speeds, can't do jack.

Just hopped over to Maxis from Digi SMART plan, giving it a go laugh.gif

Well in their defense, SMART plan still does have the advantage of having friends and family, so you can assign 6 numbers for cheap rates. And if you're willing to contract 12 months, there's further discounts going on currently.
