Other applications that are running in the background are the culprits.

If you're using android, try rooting your phone and install My data manager to monitor data activity and install LBE privacy guard to restrict data activity of apps.

I also had Nimbuzz(twice for about 30 minutes) and Viber on at the same time. Using all 3 apps will use more than 5mb?

Hi All... refer to the new plan recently launch by Maxis --> Value Plus Internet.... has anyone subscribe it?

I'm currently at Value Plus 50 (RM50) + Mobile Internet 100MB (RM18)... thinking to swap to Value Plus Internet 80. smile.gif

I don't think any telco provides that.

Hello, I have a few questions.

1) Topping up RM10 only gives 10 days validity. Is that normal ? What happens when it expires, do I instantly lose any unused credits ? And when do I lose the number ?

2) I'm a very low-usage user, and I want to maintain the number, what is the cheapest way ?
I've tried the hotlink 365 plan, but it seems It's not available because I'm on the 'new hotlink plan'.

Someone suggested to 'share-a-top-up' with another maxis number back-and-forth once a week. Or is the hassle not worth it ?

Sorry, I'm new at all this. icon_question.gif

yes the latest new hotlink plan it is RM10 for 10 days

after that, got 50 days before the line is terminated (losed the number)

but after 30 days, any credit remaining will be forfeited

Hotlink 365 not available

to maintain the validity, you might consider top up RM100 (for 100 days), and then "sell" the spare credit to friends under Share A Top Up

DiGi Best prepaid still have SuperLongLife @ RM30 for one year

Umobile prepaid give 300 days validity for RM100 topup

Tron, which is MVNO using DiGi network, offer one year of validity for any topup amount or even credit transfer
