set your phone to Manual Retrieve
then each time any mms notified you can choose Retrieve or Delete there should be no charges for the notification as it's received under sms protocol This post has been edited by dgboy: Nov 16 2011, 06:42 AM |

QUOTE(dgboy @ Nov 1 2011, 08:02 PM) if your phone still register with the network, meaning the Maxis name appears on the screen and you can receive call and sms, then still got hope finally my Hotlink line was cut nowbetter call Maxis or better visit one their main centres my line cannot call 122 yet still can call the other helpline 11311 but certainly by now any credit balance will be bakar service cancellation date = 28 October 2011 (50 days after expiry) termination date = 16 November 2011 so it seems there's about 2-3 weeks gap in which it may be possible to ask Maxis to reinstate (but all credit, bonus and points are lost on the cancellation date) |

hotlink is in such a mess with their plans and validities
https://forum.maxis.com.my/forum_topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=629 and i noted under Staying Active here, it is now suggesting back to RM5 for 90 days.. omg, it so confusing http://www.hotlink.com.my/web/portal/hotli...ink_plan_en_web This post has been edited by dgboy: Nov 17 2011, 09:42 PM |

QUOTE(soul2soul @ Nov 21 2011, 08:38 AM) The link you quoted above is for the older hotlink offering which has been shelved. The complication is Hotlink website is still using New Hotlink Plan to describe what is now the old version. This is the new one. New hotlink plan If you go to FAQ on the same page, click General Enquiries (note New Hotlink Plan shows at the top), scroll down to Staying Active and it clearly implies 90 days for RM5 topup or Hot Ticket. Nowhere is it clearly stated what validity one gets for topup under the new plan, but Maxis confirmed to me via email and in their Maxis Forum that it is back to basically 1 day for RM1 for RM10 upwards. I had been monitoring Hotlink website a few months now in the expectation they would do something about this, but nothing has changed. Maxis appears to me to be committing an offence of false description of services in an advertisement under the Trade Descriptions Act 2011. |

SKMM should oblige all telcos to publish full details of all their active plans that are still in use, so the customers can make informed choices of whether so-called upgrading to a new plan is actually in their best interests or not.
Maxis could help by drawing a comparision table between the New and Old Hotlink plans instead of comparing the new plan only with DiGi and Celcom's current prepaid plans. Xpax have done a good job here |

Hotlink have finally amended their website Plans page
http://www.hotlink.com.my/web/portal/hotli...plan_FAQ_en_web this page now has Staying Active (which mentions 90 days validity for RM5 topup) under the FAQ > Old Hotlink Plan tab - previously it was under FAQ > General Enquiries however, as you can see, above the 4 bars on that page, it still says NEW HOTLINK PLAN at the top, which wording remains whatever bar you click on to expand it remains that Maxis nowhere reveals the every day validity for the new plan is 1 day per RM1 of topup some progress, but too late for many people (including me haha) who switched to the new plan and found out the hard way it does not deliver the validity expected This post has been edited by dgboy: Nov 26 2011, 08:26 PM |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Dec 1 2011, 04:50 PM) prepaid is better. Actually hotlink365 is no longer available on the new plans. I would go for DiGi Best prepaid which have SuperLongLife @ RM30 for one year validity.yes you can subscribe for hotlink 365 http://www.hotlink.com.my/web/portal/hotli...seDefaultDesc=0 U need pay RM30 in advance and reload another 30 within the 6months or Buy 2 RM30 reload. Then reload the first RM30 then active hotlink 365 then immediately reload another RM30 to enjoy uninterrupt for 365 days but make sure you dont totally forget about it after 3months if you didnt reload its terminate itself |

Hotlink 365 is only available to user on the old plans called Extra and Basic.
Did you find that page from internet search? I don't think it is accessible from hotlink.com.my now. This post has been edited by dgboy: Dec 1 2011, 11:26 PM |

QUOTE(soul2soul @ Dec 9 2011, 08:39 AM) Me too. I topped up my Hotlink today, now waiting for the RM5million to be credited.Meanwhile I take out the 10-day pass and everything is going nicely. Have used about 2.5MB so far today. I think the quota is quite safe for me. Subscription SMS : RM10. MI: Yr 10 Days 75MB (T) Pass is activated. Surf from 13:27 09-12-2011 until 13:27 19-12-2011. Yr limit is 75 MB. T&Cs apply. There is a status/usage counter available, dial *100*7*3*5#. Good one Maxis This post has been edited by dgboy: Dec 9 2011, 08:11 PM |

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Dec 9 2011, 08:33 PM) if you've been using DiGi prepaid and paying RM2.15-RM3.00/day plus the hassle of auto-renewal, then RM1/day is a better deal if you don't need 50MB daily quotanot much can be buy for RM1 it is better value than a 3-minute call under Hotlink plan this suit for light data users for the same price of RM1/day DiGi prepaid data sim can get 100MB per day instead of 7.5MB, but with that option you either have to carry a second hp, or give up on carrying a phone at all.. Unfortunately the Basic and Extra plans are no longer offered by Hotlink so it will not be possible for you to migrate to either of those plans so as to get Hotlink 365. I'd suggest you use Share-A-Topup to reduce your credits. You can send the extra credit to your friends or relatives using any Hotlink plan.

QUOTE(Shinichi @ Nov 15 2011, 10:54 PM) Hi all, is it possible to turn off data roaming on hotlink? I get charged for receiving stupid free mms from maxis!! set your phone to Manual Retrieval of MMSthen you will get only notification of new MMS (sent using SMS protocol and no charge when roaming) after that, select Delete instead of Retrieve when each notification comes in This post has been edited by dgboy: Dec 12 2011, 10:10 AM |
