Did u go to HomeDec fair last week in KLCC? I found the price to be very reasonable.
Ordered a 50vt20k. They will only deliver my unit by this Friday. Anyone have your unit delivered?

This is what I see from the Operating Instruction:
Menu->Setup->Display Settings->Side Panel
Increases the brightness of the side panel (Off/Low/Mid/High)
The recommended setting is "High" to prevent panel "image retention"

Thanks for the explaination.

Btw, any good recommendation of VT20K settings to share?

anyone tested Skype using Viera Cast? The application loading is way too slow. The incoming call will be dropped when the application is loading. Definitely not as smooth as the demo shown on Panasonic advertisement. Other than that, the cam is good. It captures my whole living area. Auto focus is a bit slow but very good, able to capture small fineprint even from newspaper when I hold it close to the cam.

How do you all find the signal strength of the Panasonic remote? I have to point the remote directly to the TV to work. I know this is IR and I should point it directly to the IR sensor on the TV. But Astro decoder remote definitely have a better IR strength. I can point the remote to the ceiling or even to my back and able to work. Reason is my father put a lot of stuff on the TV cabinet and the TV just mounted a bit higher on the wall and those stuff blocks the IR line of sight if I were to press the remote on the coffee table. I have to hold the remote higher to get it work.

I seen this too for a few occasion on 50VT20K. Can't recall how I get this. Seems like this happened after I switch around with the input source. However, this pink color screen always come from Astro Byond decoder. The color went back to normal after I reset either the TV or the Astro decoder. Not really sure if the source is causing this.

Only certain file format are supported. I have tested VT with avi. Both rmvb and mkv are not supported. Better check with the particular model specifications.

Added on May 19, 2011, 1:56 pmWhats the supported resolution on the panny D-sub DB15 VGA PC input interface? I failed to get it to display in full HD.
With the TV switched to PC Input, I cant find the matching audio input to run concurrently. Did panny purposely left out the audio input functionality when we use the PC input?

There is a new firmware for DMP-BDT300.
http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/bd/d...0_350_asia.html

My player can't play BD after the upgrade. I am using the free 3D BD that comes with the player. Anyone having this problem? Not sure if this is a simple one or I have to call Panasonic.

Saw 50ST30 and 55ST30 in a Panashop in Puchong.
50" retail for 7999 while 55" 9999. If I am not mistaken, both have the same freebies, a BD player, 2 3D specs and 1 BD.
No sign of VT30 yet.
