WOW not bad and I tot my offer is cheap.

50" 3D Plasma THP50VT20K
3D DVD Player DMP-BDT110
2 Glasses
1.5M Panny HDMI Cable
3 Blu-Ray Movies

Price: 6K

But I saw there's another series (S) which is also 50" Full HD 3D Plasma.

The diff is this model doesn't have the isf and THX professional viewing feature.

So the pricing should be lower. But no news yet on the pricing to date.

Did I PM you? well FYI, it's from my friend's PannaShop over at Taipan.

I think you all know bout the standard package for the 50" but he did bundled in a couple of stuff for me like the glasses.

A bit tempted for the 3D cause of the Neo-Plasma tech which I heard is pretty impressive.

And Panny is smart to reserve that tech for 3D for their new batch. Missed the old Plasma with Neo-Plasma but my friend can get the old unit for 7K (RSP14999)

Wow ... looks like the current 50VT20K package has much better value compared to 50ST30K package ... better specs and lower price

If I were you, I'll get the VT20. The ST30 although new, is an entry level 3D, compared to the flagship VT series. There's another higher end model (GT30) before the VT series but unfortunately, it's not even available in Malaysia.

Although the 2010 models have a few flaws in them which is improved in the 2011 models, but I'm willing to bet the VT series (although 2010) will beat the ST series hands down in terms of PQ and AR tech.

However, it would be prudent for you to see them side by side (when the ST30 is more widely available (which is soon)) and make up your mind then.

Yup u r right, need to compare side by side. At first i just wanna buy a tv, because old tv got problem. was targeted u30 (cheap), but then the vt20 just beside, and is a HUGE difference in terms of PQ. thx for the advice.

on paper 2011 st30 is better compared to 2010 vt20... the only vt advantages is the pro calibration and picture quality on black level only

better get the 2011 st30... better ar, better pq (colour gamut), better 3d, better motion technology, less floating black n many2 more...

do u have the link for comparison? so far i saw most ppl recommended vt20 instead of st30. thx.

Make sure intelligent frame creation is turned off.

Some ppl said need to on the ifc to reduce posterization. Now i off it, and i notice some obvious green colour when there is motion on astro sd channel.

Ifc converts incoming signal to 60Hz. Astro is 50Hz. There will be some frames that will be dropped so u will see judder. I hv calibrated sets for astro and post calibration there is reduced posterization. Posterization on panasonic products are known. U hv to decide the lesser of 2evils. Lower bitrate stuff will hv more chance of posterization. Panasonic's method of dithering and half toning is the reason u see posterization.

thx for the explanation. need to spend more time to adjust the tv to satisfy my eyes.
