I was told by HN sales man that for Plasma TV even sitting position is near... it will not strain our eyes like LED or LCD TVs...
due to the natural colour/soft tones... not sure whether is true or not...

my sitting position is about 10 feet... i am thinking to get 50" plasma  50U30k or 50 VT20K... but afraid is too big
*
Correct, Plasma HDTV produced natural colour, unlike LED which produced too bright colour, causing human not natural.
10ft 50" is perfect.. don't afraid too big..

I am using 50" plasma,, 18ft.. and I still enjoyed Plasma quality..

Hye.
I just bought a plasma tv. When google about keeping tips plasma tv, they suggest doing break-ins, what is the problem I have now still do not understand about what it was break-ins? is there a plasma tv let you in the open at long-term?
*
Talking about break in for plasma HDTV. Some expert said, new Plasma unit this day, no need to perform Break In, the reason is because the manufacture already performed the break in procedure.. But if you want, you also can do the break in....... no harm...

LED is also LCD lah , both using backlight technology  except LED's LCD is brighter and with improvement on panels ,  much sharper images but less natural than Plasmas.

under controlled ambience , high end Plasmas has better detail in PQ as well.
*
Correct... Plasma have natural skin colour, natural black and white colour... My friend he very clever one, he go to buy 55" Sony, as we know Sony no Plasma tv, so the picture is totally out. Play Astro, show lot of boxes, colour also very bright,,,, how to watch, my eye also tired... Better don't watch..

I want a Ferrari. I want a private yacht. I want a private airplane. I want a 102" Plasma. Only problem is, how to spend RM15K for a TV? That's some people's entire year's salary. Crazy.
*
Ya, agree with you.. You so funny la.. I want 160" Panny Plasma la.... hahah... Who want 180"???? Who want 200"?????? haha..

Go to shopping complex and compare, touch the V panel, then touch the X panel / U panel... you sure will notice the V series panel is much more hotter. X and U is normal. I think the V series have problem also, and the problem is "Panel Hot".....

I ABSOLUTELY can not stand watching Sony's color. They are the most fake looking amongst the other brands. Whenever I looked at some red flower on Sony, I wanted to puke. Nowhere in any garden I see red flower of that color. And my eyes wanted to cry with tears flowing down with those harsh lighting. But that's just my own opinion.

My opinion also..... rclxms.gif thumbup.gif

Ferrari cost RM800,000.00
Fuel consumption at 4 km per liter or 72.5 sen/km at RM2.90 per liter RON97.
Fuel consumption per year RM17,400 for 24,000 km
Per year, fuel cost 2.2% of car's worth.

65" Plasma cost RM22,000.00
Electricity cost RM1.4 per night or ~RM500 per year @ 500W/hr. 8 hr per night.
Per year, electricity cost 2.27% of TV's cost.

As you can see, the cost of running either Ferrari or 65" TV is around 2% of the product cost. Of course we all know that except little kids who need spoon feeding. Typical of a local education where kids are never encouraged to use their brain. A pity. If one can afford a Ferrari, 2% running cost should not be a problem. Likewise if one can afford a 65", 2% electricity cost shouldn't be either.

Why stop? I thought we are having fun.

While TV price may drop, electricity price will increase so I think you best not buy the 65". They consume too much electricity. How to afford?  whistling.gif
*
Got point also,,, TV price may drop, but TNB bill won't drop....

But I won't care too much, if I have money, I just bring the 65 home and enjoy..... rclxms.gif

Actually, I am waiting for 65" to drop below RM7000...then to hell with the electricity cost, I am going to buy another Plasma. For the time being, the 50" will have to do.
*
Below 7K??? I think impossible lah... I don't know....... My Plasma is 1 1/2 years old... further more no money to buy 65.
I just watched Green Zone (HD)... so good. I off the light, just like cinema......
If 65, wow, truly cinema experience..................

Currently I'm deciding whether to get PLASMA VIERA TH-P42U30K (RM 1980) or is there any better plasma full hd tv in the price range below rm2200? I know V20 is better but its out of reach since its out of stock sad.gif (My gf have the 50V20k, it looks damn good). Any recommendations? Or should I just get the U series?
*
If your gf have 50" then u should go for 65" or 50" tie with her..... haha.. just kidding lah ok.. I no mood also...

have to burn in or not???? I think you use the wrong word or you don't understand...

the correct word is:
have to break in or not??????
If your plasma have burn in mark meaning your plasma panel have problem already....
